          Roxanne is no stranger to those who are... peculiar... and needless to say, she’s always been a magnet for it whether she likes it or not. Most of the time she doesn’t mind it, and in fact, prefers the company of those who are a little off beat. And who is more offbeat than a mycologist captaining a submarine?

jane wasn’t sure how this new assignment would go being paired up with fiona coyne. she didn’t really know her that well other than the few not so great interactions they had. there might have been some pre judgement there but jane always felt like she had a great judge of character. forcing herself to walk on over to the girl, she sat next to her once the class was over. “so this baby assignment just might be the best birth control option out here.” she clears her throat, an attempt to joke with the girl. “do you think you can like hire a nanny for our project or something?”

heather was away in the girls’ restroom to touch up on her shade of lipstick and just to make sure she still looked okay. as she was watching herself in the mirror applying the shade she could see from the corner of her eye fiona. “nice dress.” is all she says as she pulls the tube away.

Perhaps Alex shouldn’t have been so open to volunteer to go ahead and starting teaching classes so soon after he had just arrived in Edens Town, but it didn’t matter at that point. All he had to do was get through the day and then he could tell Cass he was going to take another day or two off before teaching classes. She would understand. For the moment, he needed to get over himself and be courteous and friendly.

After he had made sure Fiona was comfortable to start moving around, Alex began to lead Cosmo around the gates, keeping sure that both horse and girl were alright. It had been a while since he had interacted with any students, since his last few months in Texas had been dedicated to finding new homes for most of the horses that had been homed at Foreaker Stables. Still, it was fairly easy to get back into the familiar routine. He looked to Fiona, feeling a bit awkward with the silence. “So, what made you want to take riding lessons?”
