𝚊𝚕𝚌𝚘𝚑𝚘𝚕  𝚋𝚊𝚛𝚎𝚕𝚢  𝚑𝚒𝚝'𝚜  𝚝𝚑𝚎  𝚜𝚙𝚘𝚝  these  days.  he’d  barely  made  much  attempt  to  leave  the  beach  if  not  to  go  in  search  of  said  liquid.  the  tall  grass  between  the  beach  and  land  seems  to  give  him  just  enough  cover  that  unless  you  could  smell  or  hear  him,  you  wouldn’t  even  know  he’s  there  and  yet...  he  heard  rustling  and  a  growingly  quickening  heart  beat.  the  hot  breath  he  finds  on  his  face  before  he’s  licked  is  enough  to  send  him  sitting  up.  don’t  ask  him  what  he  yelled  before  he  realized  it  had  been  a  dog.  it  seemed  happy  to  see  him  but  all  booker  can  do  is  stare  it  down  and  ask,  “where  did  you  come  from?”

but  as  he  asks,  he  realizes  there’s  another  presence  coming  straight  toward  them.
