Dear future me,
Dear future me,
How does it look like from up there? Is it comfortable? Is it too windy? Are you there by yourself or did you take your friends with you? How is it, Riley? Tell me. How is it like to be above all and everything? How is it like to be praised and feared? (Wait, are you praised, feared or both?) Are you having fun? How is Alma? How is Maiah? Did you keep them alive as you promised, kiddo?
Did you?
DID YOU??
DID YOU???
Let this letter be a reminder that even against your will, you have started to bond with people. Yes, yes, I know we both wanted that, but... were you aware of the consequences? Concern, paranoia and fear are now part of your daily routine since you managed to involve two innocent souls in your wicked games. They don’t deserve this, Riley. They don’t deserve the lies and the danger you are putting them through. What are you gonna do if something happens to them? What are you gonna do when they don’t understand when something bad happens? What are you gonna tell their families? More lies?
I just hope that the future me can take the proper decisions, that he can hold people close and protect them, that he doesn’t let the anger and ambition corrupt him to a point of no return. I hope that I, Riley Mendel, can eventually pick the right thing to do.
Love, God.
