𝙡𝙤𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 : laundry room

not even a week being there and susie already had a load of laundry waiting to be washed. the catch was that she had no idea how to actually work the laundry machine considering she was a religious dry cleaners type of girl up until moving to the island. so, she called up the one person who would definitely embarrass her, but knew would help her. ‘ so where do i put the detergent and softener ? ’, she asked, standing with one hand on her hip.
william had a reason to celebrate tonight, a reason unrelated to the events of du pont football. it was almost a sure thing he'd be accepted into harvard and ready to start this spring. taking a sip of his drink, it was safe to say that he was drunk but not drunk enough where he was incoherent. it didn't take long before he spotted her a few feet away. sauntering towards her, a few drops of liquor falling out of his cup as he moved, a goofy smile on his face. "funny. i always thought we both were way too cool for this shit but here we are. cheers," he chuckled and held his cup up in the air before downing his drink in one take.
rounding the corner, sabina was on her way to the stadium to meet with grant to go over her speech when she spotted william. correction, a drunk william. arching a brow, the blonde crossed her arms as she looked on with mild amusement as he approached her. "i'm here to give a speech on behalf of stuco. what's your excuse?" she asked, watching as he chugged his drink.
"i'm here to get drunk. free alcohol. i got into harvard last minute. i'm going this spring." wrapping his arms around sabina's neck, william pulled her into his chest and embraced her with a tight hug. sure, he was drunk but this was something he'd been wanting to do even when sober. have her close to him. "i wouldn't have gotten this far without you."
hearing the news, sabina's face lit up with genuine happiness for him. so much so that she let him pull her in for a hug, in the middle of the parking lot, in front of everyone. "congratulations, william. i never doubted you," she smiled, her arms wrapping around him, returning the hug. though hearing his next words, her smile faltered just the slightest, as she dropped her arms. "you getting into harvard has nothing to do with me. it was all you, william."
sudden sadness filled william’s soul once she dropped her arms, his own still enveloped tightly around her small frame. he could stay like that forever but he knew how this school operated by taking the smallest thing and turning it into a mountain. so he let go of her, their bodies chest to chest as he refused to step away from the blonde. "you know i meant what i said to cristian's mom. i don't care if you don't feel the same way."
send me a ☁ for a thought my muse has had about yours.
