Hitting a PB
Just want to start off by saying that in this case PB doesn't stand for peanut butter, it stands for personal best. I think that hitting a personal best may be one of the best feelings going and this doesn't have to apply to just lifting. It can be having a new 100m time, completing a new game, improving your test scores, you get the idea. But its that feeling of achievement and knowing you're efforts are showing some rewards, there isn't anything quite like it. This gives you that drive to keep going, to keep improvement and shatters any barriers you thought you had. Anyway today was one of those days for me. I managed to hit a personal best on my conventional deadlift with a 180kg for 5 reps, The last rep wasnt all that, I know I could of done better and I will but its still nice to know i'm improving. This also ties in with my calories upping again which puts me at: Calories: 4280 Carbs: 535g - 50% Protein: 267g - 25% Fat: 119g - 25%
Think the photos bad but here it is and this is where I'm at. Need to find that proper lighting or just stop boozing because it's killing my progress. Onwards and upwards
*Bane Voice* Let the games begin!
so following the photo i recently shared on instagram, see my last post, i think I should explain what's about to happen. I'm really excited about the next few weeks. I'm about to enter the last few weeks (2-4 weeks) of my bulk. So far ive not really put on any weight, which is a bit disappointing, however I've noticed an increase in size and my midsection is looking a bit more toned which is always nice. I was gonna put up a photo from mid week but i wasn't feeling that great about it. Having had time to think about it I'm just gonna upload it because its where im at but not the final destination. Anyway, its a new week and this means the calories are getting upped again! Which puts me at 4,180 calories a day but this should be made easier by the fact the ON serious mass shake has 1,250 calories in it alone. I've also decided to tweak my macros so they currently stand at: Carbs: 470g - 45% Protein:261g - 25% Fat: 139g - 30%
So you will have noticed i've fiddled with the percentages and im going to have a larger percentage of carbs in my diet. I made this decision based on a conversation I had with a friend, its something new for me and i'm interested to see how it goes. This brings me on to my next point, failure. Usually I hate the idea of failure, as i think a lot of people do. However, I've learnt that it is a necessary part of life and training. You will never know if something is going to work unless you try and take a risk.Worst case scenario, you don't succeed this time, most situations you will still be alive and from that point you have to pick yourself back up make a new plan and drive at it. If you sit down and cry about what went wrong last time you'll be wasting energy because you cant change what has already happened, but you can change what's going to happen. Be the master of your own destiny and don't let doubt restrict you.

Happy new year everyone!
Hope everyone had a great new year/xmas! Been a bit quiet over the festive period but I'll be getting back on it soon! Even training has been difficult due to gym closures and seeing family/friends but getting back into the swing of things now starting with shoulders and triceps
