Seeing Mashima’s new twitter sketches, I wish there was a Lyredy one too, with Meredy throwing her arms in the air like “YAAAAY’ and “FASTER!” and Lyon just has this super content face, ORRR a Miraxus one where Mira is holding her skirts not to be exposed, blushing slightly and Laxus sweat drops because damn she’s sO CUTE

Just some thoughts on the chapter

I felt so bad for Sting, Rogue and the rest being crucified but damn, that’s the brutal shit I wanna see

I can’t seem to shake off this fondness I have for Brandish uwu precious thing

I really like how Mavis has seen Cana’s potential and keeps entrusting her with Fairy Glitter. Hope we get to see her unfold the latent power Mavis spoke of, it would be glorious ^^

It’s good to see glimpses of Gruvia + Lyredy fighting but...they’re still...stuck with fodder and my patience is running short T.T Not so much for Gruvia itself but the fact that all the mains (and not only) have had a spotlight by fighting a spriggan except Gray. I usually don’t mind sitting back and wait for the good stuff but I think it’s time he had his share of kickass already. Ah well. I just hope it’s worth the wait

what exactly is the point of the gemine stardress? I mean it's Lucys spirit who transformed into Marin

Remember, a stardress allows Lucy to use her spirit’s powers and increase her own magic. Gemini transformed into Marin, yes, but what Lucy was aiming for was to get his magic, which is to nullify spacial magic. By using Gemini stardress, she’s able to use the magic Gemini copied herself. I suppose it takes a whole lot of magic to bring 113 people back, that’s why both her stardress and Gemini disappeared afterwards. Ultimately though, you could say Mashima wanted to introduce Gemini stardress to us, haha. ^^

Seriously this chapter almost made me tear up, and I’m glad that fans have so many wonderful moments between Wendy and Chelia to be happy about but seeing people stress that chen/dy is canon and that their interactions are not in the sphere of friendship but gay as fuck is grating on me so much.

Chen/dy has all the righ foundation and potential to happen at some point and honestly it would make one of the healthiest romantic relationship in this manga but it’s?? a far cry from canon?? In today’s chapter Chelia said she’ll fight for her beloved friend, Wendy cried that she’ll always be her friend, last week’s cover referred to them as friends, and when they touched foreheads together Chelia said, again, that they’re f r i e n d s. Their moments show pure, undconditional friendship and it’s really disrespectful to chastise anyone who’s not inclined to treat them as little lesbians. It doesn’t always have to do with heteronormativity; there are MANY people in this fandom that just see them as what they are first and foremost: friends. 

Yes, Wendy and Chelia do love each other. But love =/= romance. Like please, Chelia loves to preach about love, whether she’s referring to Gray and Juvia, Natsu and Wendy or Wendy and herself; it doesn’t automatically make it a declaration of romance. They’re not there, not yet. Wendy is 13 years old for God’s sake, she has lots of time ahead to figure herself and her sexuality out. Make as many gay headcanons as you want about those two and I bet they’re adorable, but when you start claiming them as canon facts and refuse to see them as anything less than that, you’re the one in denial.

Oh and one more thing. Not shipping two specific characters of the same sex together (whether it’s in favor of a straight ship or not) doesn’t make you any less supportive of the LGBT community and representation.
