Over the past 20 years, the British have tried to regain their lost ground, but all these attempts have looked unconvincing.

The concept roadster's silk coverlet was removed by Chief Designer Ian Callum and Project Chief Designer Keith Helfet. The eyes of two thousand journalists were presented with a silver roadster, which is not similar to any of the current models, but is very reminiscent of the very Jaguar E-Type. Convex wheel arches, massive longitudinal stamping on the hood, elongated teardrop-shaped headlights under a common cap, an oval radiator grille, a noticeably upturned tailgate with round lights - everything is like the Jaguar E-Type model. True, for the sake of modern fashion, the F-Type has shorter front and rear overhangs, and of the chrome decorative elements that were so popular in the 60s, only the exhaust pipes remained.

The F-Type is the smallest Jaguar in the last 40 years: car length - 4115 mm, width - 1792 mm, height - 1090 mm, wheelbase - 2400 mm.
As on the E-Type, the front part of the body (fenders, hood, bumper, radiator grill) is a single structure that folds forward.
