the African giant earth worm (Microchaetus Rappi) is fucking awesome. The image below is of one of these MASSIVE FUCKING WORMS

They average around 1.4 meters in length but can get to 6.7 MOTHER FUCKING METERS AND CAN WEIGH MORE THAN ONE AND A HALF KGS

these beasts of the worm world scare me in a way that demands respect

the 6.7 meter one was one specimen found on a road, but it is possible

they’re found in South Africa in the Eastern Cape, I should’ve expected this from from the same place that has the largest species of land snail and largest species of millipede, just a lot of big invertebrates all round
