I've never had the desire to make the pilgrimage to Denali but I understand it.

The story of Christopher McCandless inspired me in unfathomable ways. It's not a story for everyone, maybe because they aren't ready for it yet. But it is a story for people who hope and seek something bigger, something more important, something we know is out there.

The symbolism of Magic Bus just being there, being attainable, was always just a comforting fact for someone who dreams.

Now its gone, taken away because instead of having their own meaningful journeys people just tried to recreate Chris's.

Now its on a flatbed, now its gone. Taken away for our own good, taken away to quell the human need for adventure. Safer to stay in your houses and dream but never do.

The point was never to get to the Magic Bus, it was to find your own... somewhere out there... into the wild.

Haven’t posted on here in a minute. Life is actually going pretty great right now. Honestly happy, and quite sincerely living the dream. Great job, the perfect man, the best dog, our cute little blue house, and a whole lotta love. I wish there were good enough words to express how unbelievably happy and content I am with just about everything.

I don’t have to dream about it anymore because I’m living it.

I forgot to eat for 2 days. I sincerely, genuinely forgot it. I was wondering since last night why i feel so weak and can't concentrate. It was only when i saw people eating at the park that it came to me. Now, i've eaten and i feel like a god. How the fuck do people take care of themselves. This is difficult.

I have to share this somewhere with someone. I'm very sorry for what you're about to read.

I was buttering my roll to eat with my soup. I went over to the stovetop to fill up my bowl and upon returning to the table I notice I have a little flake of white on my hand. I think it must be a dab of butter that somehow escaped my notice, so I raise my hand to my mouth and consume the little white flake. It is only when the little white flake hits my tongue that I realize that it was not, in fact, butter. It is only then that I realize my critical mistake. It was in fact, a little white flake of my own regurgitated breast milk that my child had spit up upon my shoulder earlier and that had now, with my movement, fluttered down to rest on my hand. It is a wonder I haven't thrown up. Regurgitated breast milk has a flavor so goddamn nasty - especially paired with the knowledge that it is your own breast milk, that it came from your body, that somehow makes it worse - it is beyond the pale.
