Two Too Much
My routine every morning is normally like a finely crafted Swiss watch. Well, that might be saying a bit much. How about an off-brand $8.00 CVS digital watch? I get up every morning at the same time, eat the same cereal, iron my pants, take my morning pill, and proceed from there. However, this morning as I was about to walk out the door, I couldn't remember if I had actually taken my first dose of medication. Rather than run the risk of not having had it and throwing my schedule (and body) out of whack for the day, I opted to take the cautious approach and downed one with a glass of water before heading out to my car.
Judging by how I've felt the bulk of the day, I'm thinking that I had actually taken my morning citalopram and that I did indeed gulp down a second pill. Normally, on my regular dosage, I feel in control, but not too "eh, whatever". With 40mg coursing through my system I have definitely tipped over to the opposite side of the delicate balance I'm trying to maintain. I really don't feel like I give a crap about anything today which means I definitely had too much medicine.
At least I now know that 30mg is absolutely the correct level of medication for my body. In the future, I just need to make sure that I do better about recalling whether I took my pill or not.
