We’re starting over, so here’s a disclaimer.
I want to get this out of the way now.
To anyone new here I ran a blog here years ago at fuckyeahoffthewall.
I started out with the intention of highlighting mostly, if not only OTW and Jacksons era content with. There was a glaring lack of it and bias against it (Its gotten way better now but still not where it should be). A lot of fans claim it’s because they were too young, they were born in a diff era of his or blame it on not liking disco.
Let’s be honest here, that’s not why. Hardly any of us were born or even actively listened to music in the era w were born in. That and all Michaels songs from the 70′s weren’t disco but they were mostly Soul, R&B, Blues, & Funk related. The music from his roots.
The second most common excuse I hear is that “Oh, Motown didn’t let him write his own songs then so..” Ok, nobody on Motown wrote their own songs back then. They were still great songs and Michael sung the shit out of them & as a MJ fan you should at least be listening to them. The music he made before and during OTW are what made him who he was.
With that being said, this new blog is going to be from J5 until maybe 82. I’m going to try a few diff things and maybe put people on to a few things from what I think was the most important time period in his career.
Lastly, this is a Jackson 5/Jacksons and solo MJ fan blog so no Jackson slander about any family member is tolerated. Their family business is their family business. K? Cool. Welcome.
