☪ : what do you hate about your language?

that it’s sometimes so awkward to say some words/sentences… so we just put some variation of swearword XD and that you need to conjugate every freaking word and some of them are pain in the ass

❁ : which language(s) do you think of as the most beautiful?  

I really like how russian sounds, but tbh I can’t really choose the most beautiful language because I am somehow familiar with like 2% of languages soooo… but the most beautiful thing is when native speak their native language, that switch from english to mother tongue… I just love it!

13: One of your favorite 80’s songs

i’ll admit i was actually tempted to use this as an opportunity to rickroll everyone (the song itself is absurdly catchy anyway) but i think i’d have to go with a michael jackson song especially since i’m not familiar with that many tracks from the 80′s… “billie jean” comes to mind!

22: A song that moves you forward

oh, oh, i really like “take your way” by livetune for this prompt… it was used as the opening for the devil survivor 2 anime. admittedly, i’m not actually very fond of the anime because of flaws with how they handled plot progression and characterization (in comparison to the game at least), but the devil survivor 2 video game resonated a lot with me, so when i try to piece the translation of the lyrics with what i got out of the game, i just find it incredibly uplifting and empowering. you can find the full translation for this song over here. ironically, some of the lyrics sound somewhat bleak in spite of the upbeat music, but i find that you can interpret it as a matter of accepting the decisions you’ve made, learning from your mistakes, and “moving forward” — which is in tune with the spirit of this prompt, i guess!

i know i’m supposed to pick just one song per prompt, but i really couldn’t resist picking one more for this one — i like “sun” by mae a lot for this “moving forward” concept too! it’s just one of those songs where i love all the lyrics in their entirety. i don’t know, the idea of “i need to know if we’re still making useless progress” resonates a lot with me, and i think the sort of pensive tone of the entire song, combined with the thoughtful lyrics, is really inspiring somehow.

I LIKE THIS ENTIRE SONG TOO MUCH so here, have some of the lyrics because i have no shame:
