whats fly's relationship with the rest of the cast? how do they know of eachother?!
i can finally answer this! pay attention sadboyverse fans this is where the story starts.
fly is not exactly flush with cash, and so supplements his day job with the occasional pickpocket along with shoplifting or nicking what he can from his job. he’d never gotten into any serious trouble for it and it was keeping him afloat so like. he’s not going to stop.
until. he’s hanging out outside this casino, checking out customers coming in and out for potential marks when the building fucking explodes. not literally, but there’s a large bang from inside and fly assumes a fire has gone off- what a perfect opportunity to actually get inside and steal some cash.
bad idea. the casino is owned by the beetle family and fly just got caught up in one of fulgurs’ heists. after almost getting killed several times and managing to hide under the counter with his spoils, fly is eventually caught by leroy and herc.
they’re impressed by his skills but also think he’s part of fulgur’s rotation of thieves and decide to keep him detained while they decide what to do with him.
once the misconception is cleared up fly is still essentially in debt to hercules and his family and they use him as a petty thief. we follow him as he gets thrown more and more into the organised crime scene and the beetle family.
