I didn't get to see this shot happen live; I was in the middle of a conference. But I was following the game on my phone. But since Sunday, I've watched the replay probably 500 times. And, I'll be honest, I cried a bit when I saw the shot go in. Why? • For one, I bleed Carolina blue. And after last year, it felt amazing to make it back to the #finalfour. But it's more than that. • See, @thelukemaye is a kindred spirit. He's a hustler who busted his ass everyday at practice—putting in the #work—and improving little by little; enough so that he made major contributions this season coming in off the bench. • As a lifelong #tarheel fan, I loved the star players like: Carter, Stackhouse, and Hansbrough. But it was players like Dante Calabria and Luke Maye who I connected with more. They were the guys who made big plays when they needed to, but they did the small things—making the #hustle plays when the team needed it most. And if you know Luke's story, you'd know that he's shown up at practice everyday, busted his ass, and improved where he needed to. • And that's how you win in life or accomplishing your #fitness goals. You hustle. Day in, and day out—get better every step of the way. • Instead of trying to be "perfect" or a "superstar," be like Luke: hustle and practice the basics every day. • Now I'm gonna go watch this shot again.
