Design Integration
This course is the second time that I am taking it, and being honest this time I have learned more than the first for example, that the real meaning of transmedia and what are the part that consists this topic. The first step is to develop a narrative pointing out four qualities that will be the clue words for you campaign after the story is completed; is necessary to decide how the story is going to be spread into the transmedia component which is: unique promotional item, Guerilla Marketing, TV, and Radio Spot.
Focusing on my work in the last two weeks I have been experiencing and learning in the processing of developing the UPI and Guerilla Marketing.
Guerilla Marketing needs to be cost-effective, unexpected and smart developed. I had hard in the first week because I was thinking and center inside of the box, everything was ok, but the element of surprise was missing and barely was speaking about my narrative. Once I got the understanding, I learned to convey my thoughts. Here is my Guerilla Marketing for Man Scape.
I decide to have a couple of identical twins carrying a sign where it gives the description of their moods. The identical twin will represent the before and after; one twin will be styled to look hairy, un-coiffed, and a bit mangled; the other one will look sharp, trimmed and shaved. here is my sketch of this idea.
The unique promotional item was painful at some point. My first ideas was a Smart Credit card where it can hang multiple cards at the same time, but I considered that it wasn't effective to develop, and produce instead of the idea of the cards holder, it gives the masculinity and versatility the a men deserve. My UPI was finished to last for a long time and be memorable.
During this Month I have been learning deeply the meaning of Transmedia. All what I have learned will help me on futures projects, I won’t be lost in the space and I will have the necessary tools to work on X or Y account. Because I maximize my resources that I have available and I created with the sense to convey the flow of the narrative.
In my radio Spot I conveying the ‘rejuvenating” quality, which is transmitting the energy and the kindness of the brand. The audio was made with this style to engage and persuade effectively the audience.
Now on can define the difference between Transmedia and Mix media.
