RETURN OF THE G.i.
I’m back like Luke.
Mississauga feels like it’s changed since I’ve been gone for almost only two weeks...
Perhaps it’s just my perspective, I’m seeing things a lot more clearly now; my adventure which led me through #TEDx Vancouver as a “Generation Breaker” speaker to the masses, #BluePrint pathways in Ottawa youth corrections as a facilitator & counsellor and lastly in Montreal for #LeCentipede as a finalist BBOY competitor...It has cleared up some webs in my headspace. Feeling pretty knocked out, but sh*t man... it’s like the best kind, know what I mean?
A few things I’ve picked up or remembered on my trip.
1. Vancouver is rainy...like really f*ckin Ororo monroe, highlander quickening, epic Ryu vs Sagat...rainy lol
but if you have an umbrella & good company always feels like a beautiful part of the world, just make sure you have $$$$.
2. #FairmontPacificRimHotel...is very sexy, I felt like James Bond meets Bruce Wayne on the Starship Enterprise.
A goal of mine! to once again sweetly dwell in that hotel for the future. I can’t believe some people actually live that 6 star life everyday, no wonder some financially wealthy people taste like spoiled cookies. That weekend, I stole the cookie from the cookie jar, but stayed fresh. Thank you TEDX & Jamie Hughes for the great experience.
3. PUBLIC SPEAKING TIP When you have to speak your truth (Exchange) in front of thousands of people... Just make sure you don’t rely on the clicker, actually memorize your sh*t. DUH*lol remember this pattern, ok? V ISUALIZE execution of the talk C ONTROL your emotions R ECITE your heart
Dang, even if you gotta “LOSE YOURSELF” to some Eminem the night before... lol One less thing to think about! ALSO When you’re focused more on getting comfortable in the speaking space... even the DeathStar turns into a Tennis ball. I straight up spent 15 minutes during the intermission laying face down on the freakin red carpet, like I was home for the holidays lol Chilling with my homies #MarkSiller & #JK47 talking about life. When getting on stage make sure to take several uncountable seconds to look at everyone in the arena and just connect the vibration, both the audience and I were comfortable with the exchange at that point.
4. WAKING up at 6am Working out & going for a swim bare ass naked...
is like one of the the best things you could ever do for yourself in the morning! If you ever have the means? DO IT! Make you feel as fresh as a new born baby HAHA!
5. Everybody HURTS...sometimes, everybody cries.
A big problem with US as people, is that we’re not honest with our feelings, we’re all so afraid sometimes... please cry & please be straight up
about your thoughts and emotions, don’t hold all that stuff in. Otherwise it can get really ugly and more painful not only for US, but everyone around US.
- it’s much better for us to be honest & kind than nice but FULL of Sh*t, straight up.
6. CHOICES, You have two > BIG ONES & SMALL ONES
The big ones have BIG consequences & the Small ones have SMALL consequences....add enough small ones, you’ll get Godzilla. Consistency allows for real growth... it’s our choice on how to grow.
7. EVERYONE HAS A FIRE INSIDE, “There is A light that never goes out.”
If you know what you want. Give that fire some air and more dry things to burn on. After that, our action makes things happen. Trusting the gut & using common sense takes care of the rest.
8. Sometimes you won’t be fully understood by people you think love you... There are times when others will HURT you unintentionally...
but sometimes, OVERSTANDING is better than UNDERSTANDING. Remember that Patience is NOT golden, it is vital like “WATER “ ...And this kind of water cleans, as well as nourishes. just love, just give love.
9. Everyone talks about about how Karma’s a B*tch...BUT You don’t know her, she knows you and is just straight forward when you’re not.
The more I’ve worked with people in the craziest situations you can or cannot imagine...the more I live and make all kinds of great and bad choices, the more I realize how much forgiveness is needed in this world.
Forgiveness of self & others = HEALING.
We didn't come into this world with a programmed manual and we weren't meant to be perfect. Just remember that the energy put out is what you get back... but Bad sh*t happens to good people. Don’t lose heart or spirit. The desire for all things good will come to those who understand that they have nothing at all but the moment.
it’s our choice to be happy no matter what happens. “ GET RIGHT”
