Earlier this week Ukrainian President zelenskiy_official bestowed the "National Legend of Ukraine" award on inspiring 75-year-old Japanese citizen Fuminori Tsuchiko in acknowledgement of his tireless and courageous humanitarian efforts for the people of Kharkiv, Ukraine. 🇺🇦👏💙💛🙏🇯🇵
#Repost dmytro_kuleba with @use.repost . . . This is a Japanese citizen Fuminori Tsuchiko. He's 75 and a national legend of Ukraine.
A full-scale invasion caught Fuminori in Poland. Thousands of people left Ukraine, but he crossed the border in the return direction. Drove through the whole country to a very dangerous Kharkiv. He spent 9 months there with Kharkivians in the subway, buying food, cooking dinners and helping out however possible.
After the Russian army was kicked off, fuminori continued the start of the case, and opened a free cafe. It provides free dinners to hundreds and hundreds of Kharkivians every day.
This week, the President of zelenskiy_official awarded Fuminori the award "National Legend of Ukraine". It was my honor to represent this remarkable man at the ceremony. Fuminori represents millions of foreigners, from 7 to 75, younger and older, who wholeheartedly support Ukraine. For that we will always be grateful to them.
And I want to say from myself personally and all Ukrainians: Arigato Godzajmas - thank you very much - Mr. Fuminori Tsuchiko! For your Ukrainian heart and tireless hard work. For being with us and inspiring all our people and the whole world.
Thank the famous Japanese Kharkiv in the comments.
Thank you 🇺🇦🇯🇵 @fuminori_tsuchiko
