If one could run without getting tired, I don't think one would often want to do anything else.

You've lost your rugged charm
Your wide presence no longer nourishes me
With even a tingle of warmth.
Your cold breaths
Turn everything around
In a labyrinth of fog.
The long silence of your being
Only howls within the dark hollows
Of my bones.
Amid this long frozen painting
Of our lives
My tireless chase
To seek a mirage of pleasance
Goes on.
Be an uncommon Christian. Average Christian is "half way up between the valley and the peak...halfway where we used to be and where we ought to be." When we hear the call to take up the cross and follow toward the hills we begin to bargain with God like a huckster. What will it cost me in work? What will it cost me in money? What will it cost me in relationships? Is it safe? Is it convenient? Is it fun? Is it popular? - You'll never be more than the common Christian until you give up your own interests and cease to defend yourself and put yourself in the hands of God and let Him alone. We want to help God out. No, no give yourself to God. Turn yourself over to God and say, "Father, I'm sick of being a common Christian. I'm sick of this mediocrity. I'm sick of being half-way up to where I want to be. I'm sick of seeing other happy Christians and I'm not. I'm weary, God, of the whole thing and I want to go on. I want to know You.

It wasn’t unusual for the soldiers and nobles in the grand hall to be tired and cranky. Lack of food and sleep was the norm, but that wasn’t the case this time. The Inquisitor took his child out of his room for the first time in a while and he was having a fit.
Orion was lying in the sling over Eon’s chest while the Inquisitor wrote some letters. He was used to the crying now but others found it annoying. One noble even approached him and asked him to “shut up that monstrosity so it doesn’t keep the entire castle up”. Eon told them off and kept working. Eventually he got annoyed as well. He picked Orion up, supporting his head and gently rubbing his back to make him feel better. It turns out Orion just wanted attention and quieted down before long.
