I can barely believe I haven’t posted this phenomenal find before now. I would prefer to have pancakes with butter and honey EVERY Saturday morning but since that’s not realistic I often defer to one of my other most favorite breakfast concoctions. The Peanut Butter and Jelly smoothie. It’s so simple it only requires 3 ingredients, but you can alter it as you see fit. The recipe is EASY, quick and I usually ALWAYS have all the items on hand.
1 banana (I prefer frozen)
5 medium strawberries (or a handful)
1 tablespoon of Peanut butter
1/4 cup of water (less or more for thickness)
optional
1/4 cup almond milk
1/2 tbls flax meal
ice cubes
protein powder
Throw it all in the blender or bullet for about a minute and enjoy! I find the chillier the better – hence the frozen bananas. This is great for breakfast, a snack or even post workout. Truly tastes amazing.
