This Love Doesn't Have Long Beans -2nd round of 10 BL/QL
First things first.
This is a beautiful man. Like he looked good in Pit Babe, but he was simply irresistible in this, and that was before he started cooking and crying.
The title of this one had me before I even knew what it was about. It's been like a year since I watched a BL, and I knew this was the first one I wanted to start with.
I was not a fan of the sound effects and exaggerated dramatic music moments, but otherwise, this was a 9/10 for me. I was in the mood for something lighthearted and fun, and this absolutely fit the bill. It did everything I wanted it to, and in only 8 episodes, without me feeling like it needed more. Impressive.
Competitions where everybody helps each other and cares about each other instead of being backstabbing, are my jam.
I’m not a big enemies-to-lovers trope person, but I have to say that so far that the BLs that I’ve seen do a really good job with it. And speaking of, holy shit I shipped JJ and Metas so hard.
I’ve already said that sunshine/chaos gremlin is one of my favorite pairings, and they qualify completely. Metas pouty exasperation with the kid and also constantly with Plawan getting any of JJ’s attention is hilarious.
I’m glad I watched this before checking out Pit Babe 2 because I straight up hated Kenta, and this is going to go a long way to letting me enjoy the Kim/Kenta ship. JJ is awesome. This is the second time a Pit Babe actor whose character I hated like flames licking at the side of my face has completely won me over in another role, so kudos to them.
Also hilarious? This.
Like, I know it’s supposed to be sad also, but I couldn’t stop laughing long enough. Plawan brought a whole garden into this man's kitchen. Poor JJ. I loved their friendship. It felt very real. One of those, welp, we met as kids, so now I'm stuck with this idiot for the rest of my life friendships.
My poor baby Pun Sib just tryin’ to live his best life while everybody else had allll the drama going on. He thought he was in a friends-to-lovers romance featuring the shy, geeky boy and his goofy, cocksure buddy, sure, but it’s not his fault he was in the wrong story. He was a delight.
Adults acting mostly like adults and not high school kids when it comes to romance, what?
Well, not Kleur but the rest of them, yeah. Kleur, on the other hand, was this weird funhouse mirror for me -one minute he read as a sweet, shy guy you feel sorry for, the other as a creepy “good guy” stalker type.
I wanted to like him, even though his hat was giving Jughead, and I’m glad they leaned into the former at the end.
I was feeling some kind of way about Khao Suay in the beginning because the ex showing back up is a razor wire to walk, but damn, that “Actually, now that I know what true love is, I don’t think I ever really loved you” couch jumping dismissal was brutal. And she took it on the chin like a champ. Completely won me over.
The show even threw a few surprises at me, and I was verklempt the last 30 mins or so, including shrieking in delight at that proposal.
Look at how sweet and domestic!
They’re adorable together.
Burning questions :
Did they keep both restaurants or just like expand them into one giant one?
Did Auto’s family restaurant go out of business, or did they just send him back to learn more?
Did JJ give up physical therapy forever?
Will the goldfish ever get an actual tank?
* I legit did not recognize that song from Pit Babe and just giggled when my phone informed me that it was from the OST.
* *I gotta find some Thai basil chicken soon. I’m lucky I live near a decent number of Thai restaurants. Also, I’mma need some recipes. I feel like granita is also in my future.
CHICAGO! See you soon

Merry Xmas and Happy Holidays to all my Tumblr friends!
So about 100% Wolf Legend of the Moonstone...
I guess Betty got a voice change to make her sound less “disney typically sexy” and maybe eliminate shipping... kind of? Like, if you don’t like her scratchy voice you’ll no longer ship them now and the shipping was a bit zeofilic if you ask me but that’s just funny, not serious complaint, it’s good a show can do that
still, they changed her voice so hmm, maybe i am right why
also, if you’re smart like me
it won’t fool you
now it’s going to turn into A worewolf: Will He Choose a Dog Girl or a Human Girl? Nice... XD
Birdy the Mighty was a pretty fun and awesome show. Some really neat characters and a really neat universe to it. Although I wish they had focused more on Birdy’s universe rather than the kids and their lives, man I don’t even know there names.
But still pretty good. Definitely up there on my “Pretty cool to watch” anime shows.
There might be more as well. I hope so.
Up next will be the Ghost in the Shell movie.
