This morning, I learned how to play Seminole Wind on guitar. And then I wrote up a bassline to play under it that wasn’t too nuts.
And then I sketch-painted a very different kind of mermaid Nathan than I imagined because I had the Everglades on my mind. Very @hallokatzchen vibes on the style for this one, I do say. Especially the hair.
Headcanon that after Trials of Apollo, Apollo absolutely freaking INSISTS on (and lowkey bullies Artemis into) family dinners once a week at Leto's home in Florida. Just him, Leto, and Artemis at first.
He's already a Mama's boy and wants a real home and liked helping cooking and such during the Trials. He eventually insists on bringing Meg since he's declared her his baby sister and Leto is absolutely charmed by her newly adopted gremlin child.
(He also eventually starts bringing whichever of his kids are in the vicinity of Florida)
(Artemis eventually starts bringing around Hunters who miss having a mother or grandmother in their life)
More headcanons I have, continuing with some main characters. Spoilers for both Dai Gyakuten Saiban games. You’ve been warned. Otherwise, have fun.
Sherlock Holmes
-With his antics, Holmes has gotten himself banned from at least 5 different restaurants all across London, all for different reasons. However, he’s never explained what these reasons actually are, since he enjoys the speculations that other people come up with.
-Though he prefers not to talk to or about him due to them being distant, Holmes has an at least amicable relationship with his brother, Mycroft. Most people don’t even know he exists.
-When money runs especially tight, Holmes occasionally participates in underground boxing matches as a means of making income. Those who know about it (Iris, Naruhodō, and Yūjin) hate when he does it because he often comes home injured.
-Holmes is an atheist, saying his lack of belief in any sort of God comes from his years of investigations and seeing so many things happen to innocent people that led to him being cynical. This makes Christmas an interesting time at 221 Baker Street.
-Though he’s not comfortable saying it out loud yet due to not knowing his feelings on the matter, Holmes is very protective of Naruhodō and sees him like his son. He’s only ever confided in Yūjin about these feelings.
Iris Watson
-Iris is the best seamstress of the group, able to fix almost anything and even make clothes for people. She tends to give angry mom lectures to people if she has to fix their clothes for stupid reasons (so Holmes gets talked to a lot).
-To match with Holmes’s violin playing, Iris is gradually teaching herself how to play piano as a side hobby. She’s still learning, but can read music perfectly and has mastered some simpler melodies.
-Iris has a large collection of stuffed animals in her room that she loves. Meanwhile, the books in her room range from bedtime fairytales to complex physics textbooks.
-To save money, Iris is the hairdresser at 221 Baker Street, having acquired a decent amount of skill from years of practice. She’s the only one who can think of touching Holmes’s hair, and she’s also cut Naruhodō’s.
-Iris had a very strong immune system and practically never gets sick. The most she’s ever had to deal with are little colds, but she still handles them better than 99% of the human population.
Barok Van Zieks
-To absolutely nobody’s surprise, Barok has a disastrous sleep schedule. That being, he doesn’t really have one and will just sleep whatever amount he can on any given night. This can range anywhere between 2-7 hours.
-While he’d never admit it, Barok finds more things amusing than he lets on. He just restricts his emotional responses and wouldn’t be caught dead laughing about them unless it was something that really caught him off guard.
-Barok has a much higher alcohol tolerance than most people realize, which is why he always has so much at all times. However, his drink being spiked will immediately lead to drunk shenanigans and he’s noted to be very entertaining to watch due to all of his inhibitions vanishing while drunk.
-Though he doesn’t show it often, Barok is a skilled swordsman and hand-to-hand combatant. While he prefers to not show off these skills if necessary, but won’t hesitate to teach someone a lesson if he’s tested. It’s rumored taking a kick from him might rupture organs.
-Barok’s way of showing affection is through the smallest and most subtle gestures, as he’s not very good at expressing himself in words. However, don’t comment on it or he’ll punch you in the face.
Just some headcanons I have, starting with the main characters. Spoilers for both Dai Gyakuten Saiban games. You’ve been warned. Otherwise, have fun.
Naruhodō Ryūnosuke
-Naruhodō’s enjoyment of Shogi puzzles eventually translated into a enjoyment of chess after learning to play it in England. Tends to overthink while playing.
-During his childhood, Naruhodō was always an outcast and never really had any real friends. As a result, he would instead talk to animals, eventually being able to converse with them normally as though he understood them. He still does this every now and again to this day.
-Naruhodō has a beautiful singing voice, but is incredibly self-conscious about it. The only person he’s okay with hearing him sing is Iris.
-During the six months he was forbidden from standing in court, Naruhodō took up painting as a hobby. He painted an entire storeroom of Holmes’s as well as made several individual portraits, and some of these were sold to help pay rent.
-Due to childhood trauma, Naruhodō suffers from strong cynophobia and will almost always flee from dogs. (There’s a reason why he fainted after Toby jumped on his face.)
Asōgi Kazuma
-Asōgi hates being seen or even suspected of crying. Because of this, he tries to hide anything that slips through. However, if he’s truly emotional about something, he won’t care.
-With his liking for arts and crafts, Asōgi particularly likes origami. This often surprises others due to his hands being on the bigger side, and he enjoys proving people wrong.
-While he doesn’t do so often, Asōgi is an absolute ham when performing (i.e. singing and dancing). People tend to either stare or squeal depending on who they are.
-Asōgi has a very high tolerance for spice and enjoys it greatly, and will overly spice any food he cooks that uses it. Everyone else thinks he’s nuts and tries to keep him out of the kitchen if such a recipe is being made.
-People tend to forget just how physically strong Asōgi actually is, and he’s not afraid to show off a little bit in a teasing manner. Don’t test him though.
Mikotoba Susato
-Despite being a small person, Susato is a shockingly big eater. It’s always a surprise for people when they first meet her.
-From her time growing up with Asōgi, Susato has a little bit of experience with a sword in case of emergency. However, she prefers martial arts.
-Everywhere she lives, Susato is the cleanest person in the house, often cleaning up tiny messes left by other people that they forgot. She can sometimes be entertained with some things she finds laying around.
-Susato is a skilled koto player, taught to her by her grandmother when she was little. She enjoys playing music from time to time when she needs to relax.
-Due to loving looking back on memories, Susato is slightly picture crazy and takes any opportunity to get pictures taken. Everyone is glad she doesn’t have her own camera (yet).
while andy is generally not the greatest at cooking I'd like to imagine there are a select few things he is godly at whipping up that are like, his signature. His mac&chee is to die for and everyone looks forward to his french toast in the mornings, they don't know how he does it and he won't tell anyone
