This is my first attempt at doing a cresting wave painting, this one with the blow dryer rather than swipe (as I’ve not had a lot of success with the swipe technique yet). This method I saw done by Molly Leach (Molly’s Artistry YT channel) and worked to see if I could replicate it on some level. I am happy with it!

So I made a thing

This is a simple transmutation circle I wanted to describe later on in “Aegis of Eris” for my OC Mattie, Sheska’s cousin and a bookstore owner in Dublith.  She, naturally, has an alchemy section in her store, and has learned a little about alchemy just from reading (a tiny amount, like kindergarten level compared to the State Alchemists’ PH.Ds)  This simple circle is drawn onto a coaster and she uses it to heat up her tea.  

The hexagon represents water, the pentagon fire (or heat), and the spirals the transfer of energy.  The spirals go in the opposite direction from the one used by Issac McDougal, the Freezing Alchemist.

The spirals are a little uneven on purpose.  When Mattie meets a real alchemist (guess who), he’ll give her a few suggestions on how to improve the circle.
