The Asylum's funeral biscuits is the only recipe of her many that I actually like, and that was only after adapting it to metric measurements, which took a lot of perfecting. To make up for it I bake one batch a month, and never run out <3

My mom, my sister, & I made Funeral Biscuits mostly using Emilie Autumn's recipe from The Asylum For Wayward Victorian Girls. We haven't been to any funerals lately, & hopefully we won't be going to any anytime soon, but I wanted to make them anyway because why not. We didn't use caraway seeds because I tasted one to see if I liked it & it was unpleasant, & I think my sister is allergic. We also didn't use cardamom because we don't have any. Instead we used apple pie spice (cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, & allspice) & I added red sprinkles. They're basically heart-shaped pie crust, but tastier, & they're addicting. We don't have any port or sherry to dip them in, but we have LOTS of tea, which would be good.
