can anyone who is experienced with apple pay soothe my nerves

i just added my debit card (which has a history of not working AT ALL because i think it gets demagnitized or something? anyways i am scared of using it) to my apple wallet and im worried about it like.. not working

the irrational part of my brain is worried that the machine will say "FUCK U KILL URSELF" and then the cashiers will throw apples at me ;-;
