Wow! Some beautiful creations from the mosaic workshop with tutor Aleta Doran at Funky Aardvark. At the next course on 14th August we will be working on slate to make decorative wall hangings suitable for use in or outdoors. Book early as places are limited. Aleta will also be running child friendly mosaic courses during the summer holidays too so watch this space!

Pottery and Drawing Class Exhibitions
Last night we had the opening of exhibitions from our Drawing Class and our Pottery class. Many wonderful pieces are being exhibited in our galleries for the next two weeks so please come and have a look! We have pieces for show and some for sale. If inspired, Pottery is on Sundays 10am-12am, and is also on Thursdays along with Drawing Class from 6:30pm-8:30pm.
Another busy free motion embroidery class last night, hard to believe it's only week two! The next six week beginners course begins on Friday 22nd July if you fancy giving it a try.
The Drawing Class at Funky Aardvark is going on tour! Starting on the 16th of June for six weeks, we are going to different locations in Chester to draw in the twilight. 6:30pm-8:30pm on Thursdays, meeting outside Funky Aardvark. Directional lighting was the theme at last night's Laid Back Life Drawing. Every Wednesday 7-9.
This week at drawing class we were doing anthropomorphisation, which is the acting of drawing animals or other creatures acting in a human-like way. We did this by having a photograph of a person and of an animal and then merging the two together in the drawing. In the next few weeks we will be finishing off previous pieces and mounting them to get ready for the Drawing Class Exhibition starting on June the 3rd. For new-comers, there will be the topic of landscapes to keep you busy! Every Thursday 6:30-8:30. See you there.
