Out of the many rooms in Youngpyo's house, the only place that Chanyeol had yet to see was his bedroom. If he was being honest with himself, he wouldn't even be this curious if Youngpyo hadn't specifically told him that his room was off-limits, like he was hiding some deep, dark secret Chanyeol didn't know about. And yeah, Chanyeol'd surprisingly never seen an angry Youngpyo, but he's not exactly someone Chanyeol would like to meet either. That's how he wakes up on the morning of the plan: tremulous, with a hint of already regretting what he's about to do. With his tray in hand, he makes the long, cold trek up to Youngpyo's elusive bedroom, pushing the door open with a sweep of his hand. He pokes his head in, calling out, "Youngpyo?" like he's testing the temperature of the pool before diving in. "You awake yet?"  No answer. This is when Chanyeol realises how absolutely ridiculously he was behaving. They were friends. They'd seen each other stark naked. And really, what other boundaries was there left to cross? "I brought breakfast!" he declares, this time as loud and as confident as usual. The tray clatters noisily when he settles it down on the table, his gaze settling on the tangled mess on the bed in the middle of the room. There'd only been a handful of times when Chanyeol'd seen Youngpyo asleep like this, and it does things (gooey, stupid warm things) in his chest to see the man free of his usual inhibitions. And then, as if moving on instinct, Chanyeol clambers right into bed next to Youngpyo, his long limbs sprawled everywhere.  "G'morning," he mumbles, arm reaching to curl around Youngpyo's middle, pulling him closer. Youngpyo's face is red with lines from his creased bedsheets, it's a mess of hair and sleep and he's barely awake, clearly only conscious because of the raucous that Chanyeol was making. "You're late to rise today." In response, Youngpyo murmurs something unintelligible that Chanyeol would like to think leans more towards endearment than an insult. After all, he presses his face right into Chanyeol's chest, fingers curled at the hem of his shirt. If Chanyeol could cocoon any moment to last for perpetuity, this would be it—the warm press of Youngpyo's skin to his own, the quiet buzz in the air that spelled sleep and all things drowsy, the idea that nothingness stretched far ahead of them, and they had absolutely zilch to worry about.  Chanyeol slips his hand under the back of Youngpyo's shirt. For once, he harbours no intentions but to press a warm palm to the small of Youngpyo's back. And just like this, he foils his own plan when he falls straight back asleep.

Absolutely not. Whatever that was, it was a one time deal.

[/he chortles under his breath;] ❝ Isn’t it funny how day by day nothing changes, but when you look back, everything is different… ❞ I probably wont realize that I’ve changed, but in 3 months from now I’m sure I’ll be saying differently.

Honestly? No one — even when they may “understand” my turmoils they don’t truly understand me at all. Nobody does.

His body was rigged with ache and pain and every movement he made held a long quiet groan of discomfort. He didn’t know what it was about today that had every joint in his body weeping for some well deserved attention, but with his current schedule, he hardly believed he had the time to do anything. With that, he held his professionalism in front of his clients and continued on with no sign of unhappiness and no noise of collapse. His day had dragged on from each tear infested mourner to the next and being at these funerals were less than helpful. Every client had special orders that consisted of him running up and down from place to place and city to city and when the last person left the burial sight, he dropped on a grave.  An hour passed and he finally decided to leave his warmed spot on cool dirt to trudge himself back into the confines of his home. When he arrived, he was surprised to see a very old friend standing at his doorway.                                    "Tadashi…?" There was question in his voice, but the male had merely raised his hand to silence him and beckon him to unlock the home. The next few moments were as confusing and question raising as the male’s appearance had been. The other had managed to undress Alcaeus down to his undergarments to then lay him on his stomach on the table. It wasn’t the most comfortable spot in the world, but that was well washed away when sturdy hands pressed and kneaded tensed muscles. If the Siren could hear the calls of angels at any time, it would be now. Every digit that worked his body was a reward for his long day and though he wanted to ask the questions that flashed in his mind, he kept them all to himself and instead willed himself to enjoy what was being served.

What morbid tales and providences of death — wreathing of melanoid intrusions would starless, somber soot embroider of these oil-slicken entanglements, sable and piceous not of emblazoned embellishments, but what death did breathe ‘pon their adipose — and once, smooth — surfaces, as lacquers equating the oleaginous mélanges of this smut-black head of hair before him; macabre and malignant, consumed of this profession, Alcaeus had become as arenaceous and salacious as the caliginous excrements of dirt he’d come besmudged in. What morbid tales, and readings ‘pon this lifeless form sunken into shapeless soil, what providence to death did time become of; each his estranged extremities construed of death-like flesh each another dream, each another parable engraved in skin obtained in this lifetime so bedamned – so condemning itself to something alike death.

“Time has served itself to thee in death — indiscriminately, frantically; time itself perhaps shook loose of thine unyielding grasp ‘pon what I ought was unshaken, unwavering, forever..,” an enigmatic tongue, as evermore held fast to his discretion, an indecipherable adherence of gossamery eyebrows drifting hither to a center to his cranium, as endlessly stood limitless.

his friend; impossible. He, persevering in their concordant composition that was time – in an image (or an afterimage) of his unremitting scarlet raining ‘tween each lacuna of fingers seizing hold of such resistant, mortified flesh — in phantasmagoric sequences of an hallucination lost ‘tween consternations of two worlds. If alone he could bequeath ‘pon time the time he needed to find cessation of remorseless life, if alone could he press new life within these aching muscles – perhaps of callow, virgin green, new days would dawn.

The two had been together all day and throughout their entire hangout session not once did Chanyeol stop his constant pursuit to touch him at every opportunity. By the end of the day, Alcaeus was starting to get tired of pushing him away and getting more irritated than anything else. Eventually, he had finally convinced the taller male that if he was allowed to read for at least twenty minutes, he would get a treat. The siren didn’t exactly specify what the treat would be, but the idea seemed to catch the others attention. Only a good ten minutes passed before he had Chanyeol leaning over his shoulder and staring at the book in his hands. The male didn’t say anything, surprisingly, and just read over his shoulder in what looked like interest. Alcaeus smiled a little and allowed it, but instead of reading he just stared at Chanyeol’s side profile and it was then that the look on the other’s face drew Alceaus in. Before he knew it, he was pressing a kiss to the taller’s cheek. It was light, almost feathery, and when he pulled back his eyes were half-lidded with a gaze that showed his uncertainty. He wanted to explain his actions but no words would form properly, so he continued to stare.

In all honesty, Chanyeol'd been on the verge of bursting out into conversation. Five minutes of silence when he was sitting in Youngpyo's presence was hard, let alone ten fucking minutes. Internally, he thanks all the deities that've ever existed that he didn't, because Youngpyo kisses him. There'd been a press of Youngpyo's lips to a part of Chanyeol's face that hadn't been a freak collision accident. He had absolutely no idea what to do about it. It's a strange feeling, not knowing how to react to a situation like this. He's usually the type to take a kiss as the final yes. But this wasn't anyone else, this was Youngpyo, who shunned Chanyeol's touch like he had leprosy. He can only blubber in response, eyes fixed on Youngpyo's countenance. "Did you just—" he starts, then stops, then touches his cheek almost distractedly. A million thoughts rush into his head at once, and a million courses of action lay themselves before him. He doesn't know which one would lead to the right outcome. Then again, he wouldn't know which was right if he does nothing about it. So instead of thinking and overthinking, Chanyeol just takes advantage of the proximity to press his lips against Youngpyo's own.

"Fuck—" Chanyeol almost dies wiggling his old Playstation set out from under the pile of junk he no longer wants to own, but can’t quite bear to throw away. It’s like playing Jenga but with higher stakes (read: his life). There’s an avalanche of dust as the Playstation slips free. He instinctively presses his face to the crook of his arm, taking a few steps back. This was one mess he wasn’t going to pretend didn’t exist until the next time he had to unearth a relic of his childhood. Through it all, Youngpyo merely stands at the door with his arms crossed, face schooled into a look of amusement. He eyes the dusty box set—now cradled in Chanyeol even more dusty arms—skeptically. To his credit, he doesn’t say a word and merely turns on his heel to head out to the living room, settling himself down patiently on the couch.It takes Chanyeol another half hour to set-up the godamn thing, and by the end of it, he’s tempted to just chuck the stupid box. “This is an analog stick, yes?” Youngpyo asks him, obviously as a distraction and to get things moving along. It’s an off-handed sentence, but it turns Chanyeol’s mood around completely."It’s the stick I’m gonna use to beat your ass, yeah," Chanyeol agrees. He’s even more delighted to find that the CD drive already contains his old Moto GP game, whirring to life when he turns it on. Honestly, Chanyeol’s only 30% surprised when Youngpyo picks up the game easily. By their fifth round, he’s already beating Chanyeol in most of the races. By their tenth, he’s practically kicking Chanyeol’s ass."You’re a liar," Chanyeol whines plaintively, chucking the controller on the sofa. He throws himself back to stubbornly pillow his head on Youngpyo’s lap, shooting him a dirty look. "There’s no way you’ve never played this game, when you’re so fucking good at it. You must’ve hidden something in those gloves." The look that Youngpyo returns him is one that Chanyeol’s grown surprisingly familiar with—equal parts amusement and exasperation and not my fault you’re absolutely shit at this. In response, Chanyeol reaches up to flick his forehead with the ease of someone who’d done this often.
