Scenario prompt ! [ Every day at the station, your muse sees someone they’re attracted to, how would they go about getting themselves noticed? ]
Every day from Monday to Friday, the consulting detective would see the same mysterious woman every time he would wait for the train to return back home to Cheongu Apartments. He did not know her name nor did he bother asking; he never spoke a single word to her. However, in his curious eyes, she eclipses and predominate the whole of her sex. She truly was exceptional at first glance. It was not as if he felt any emotion akin to love for her. No, all emotions, and that one particularly, were abhorrent to his cold, precise but admirably balanced mind. He only admired from afar.
Detective Kim Woobin was the most perfect reasoning and observing machine that the world has ever seen, but as a lover he would have placed himself in a false position. He would never speak of softer passions, save with a gibe and a sneer. They were admirable things for the observer— excellent for drawing the veil from men’s motives and actions. But for the trained reasoner to admit such intrusions into his own delicate and finely adjusted temperament was to introduce a distracting factor which might throw a doubt upon all his mental results. Emotions and attachments lead to distractions.
This is precisely why he found it rather abstruse for him to find an inkling of desire to have her notice him. Surely he would have stood out from the rest of the crowd, standing tall at 188 cm with his broad shoulders and neatly groomed eyebrows. Right?
So unlike the other days, he left work a little early, finding himself to be at the right place at the right time. Somehow, he even managed to summon up the courage to do the stupidest most impossible thing in the world. The twenty-six year old walked up to that beautiful woman, standing there with her yellow umbrella, and started talking.
“Excuse me… annyeonghaseyo, I’m—“ he was unexpectedly cut off with a stunned expression etched across his once stoic features when she finished his sentence.
