OH!NO! Shocker wrote an extremely heartfelt and passionate blog post about Hikami Kyouko's 30th anniversary event over the weekend, detailing some anecdotes about his time working with the members of FURIL.
He also talks about the event itself and the joys of seeing Tomita again in person after many years. It's a lovely piece, full of excitement and nostalgia (plus there's photos).

been listening to furil (the idol unit of wedding peach voice actresses) and it made me realize what made songs from pretty rhythm aurora dream feel different to me... more bittersweet, more nostalgic, more... outdated?
they are outdated for real. they sound really similar to furil, as if they are stuck in mid 90s??? the same instrumentals the same manner of singing and overall style... aikatsu and love live came out ~in the same era and yet they sound much more modern to me
maybe im the only one who ever felt this way about pretty rhythm, and i sure don't mean it in a bad way, i like prad songs and how nostalgic they sound
it makes me wonder WHY do they sound like that? was it a conscious choice? did the creators have a soft spot for 90s music? or maybe they just couldn't (or didn't want to) keep up with trends? was prad influenced by wedding peach specifically? (i already suspected that because of all the wedding dress symbolism in prad) is it just a coincidence?
