I walk the path of the stray,
Where narrow is the way,
Debitum naturae is the price I pay,
Endless nights and days,
Eternal return of the life we stay,
Augmentation begins at the speed of light,
My wings begin to take it's first and last flight,
My eyes cannot see beyond the light,
Where telempathy becomes second sight,
Of all my futile attempts I win the final fight,
Knowing wrong from right,
To fall from such heights,
My mind's eye closed tight,
Caught by a feeling so bright,
My breath caught in mid air,
Death is the ferryman to whom I fare,
Into the void and chaos I stare,
Naked in my clothes and my soul bare,
How intimate and rare,
That God is always near,
Even when you lose your prayers,
On the night when you thought he wasn't there,
That he didn't care,
The truth is that he was in your tears,
And holding you from your fears,
For his heart and soul we wear,
So that when we stop to care,
He shoulders the warfare,
His furious love everywhere,
Even for those unaware.
