For those who have been following me for a while, I have drawn a furry version of Cross a really long time ago, and it felt appropriate to redesign it since I have wanting to do that for some time now!

If you clicked in the link, you will notice that the design from last year and the current one are fundamentally different, that’s because I wanted to try something new here.
OG furry Cross is a mix between a Border Collie and a African Painted Dog, for the new one, I wanted to try a pure breed Borzoi or perhaps a mix, but ended up with an unspecified canine, I guess you can say he’s a wolf mix. Not that I was feeling lazy, it just felt right, and I haven’t drawn in a really long time so I got to go full out with this piece!
I know that some of you will think it’s a massive downgrade because he no longer has that complicated yet beautiful Painted Dog coat, but it was simply too complicated and over designed, I took hours to finish that piece because of it, and I wanted to blow off steam, not get stressed while drawing. Plus, I don’t even know how I would even begin to shade it if it had the old pattern. And he ain’t a Painted Dog anymore, so.
While it may be a downgrade in design, it was an absolute upgrade in anatomy, shading, posing, and general art skills. I loved so much drawing that angry expression, Anger issues Cross(TM) is one of my favorites headcanons about him, and I’m am really happy that I managed to convey that with a beautifully expressive expression.
Also, I didn’t forget the scar this time! No red eye is on purpose. Also no clothes either bc I wanted to finish this fast, plus it makes it easier to add things for my beloved supporters!
