FURRY DICE-POTTED HISTORY The idea for this zine came from the history of the furry dice. In WWII the pilots would hang dice in the cockpit of the plane as a god luck charm and as a symbol that every time they flew they were taking a gamble, metaphorically ‘rolling the dice’ with their chances. To present this we created the outline of a cockpit and then chose a poem written by a pilot in WWII as the main source of the type. We then adapted the poem so that it related directly to our subject of furry dice. Poem written by John Gillespie Magee Jr ‘High Flight’
