I just gotta know, is your rottmnt oc based on an animal or are they just a silly little goober? Both maybe?

I’m using a translator, so I’m not sure if I explained everything clearly 😭sorry about that. I’m really happy that people are interested in them and asking questions! If you enjoy them, I’ll draw more of them!🫶🫶🫶

Honestly, they’re kind of an extension of my usual persona. Right now I’m mostly just doodling them when I’m stressed, so the lore is still very loose and could change anytime.

In the original concept, Fursnake is some kind of otherworldly eldritch thingy, and the black humanoid form is an avatar it created for its own amusement. To outsiders, it looks just like a normal human and behaves like one too, which makes it convenient for me to draw everyday scenarios.

For the ROTTMNT version, I imagine Fursnake as more of an alien creature,it gets summoned and ends up assimilating some poor office worker… It’s not really tied to the canon, more like its own little side plot.

The only real connection is that, due to various misunderstandings, they keep getting beaten up by the mutant turtles or the other villains... and yeah, the main appeal for me is just watching them get beat up 😭

Also not sure if anyone noticed, but magenta eyes = the avatar’s normal personality (kinda timid, fairly normal), and white eyes = Fursnake taking over. When that happens, it acts way more inhuman and aggressive 😋

On How I Make My Drawings...

So I’ve decided to share the basic process on how I make my digital art! The tool I use is Photoshop and Wacom Cintiq!

First I’ll start by gathering my reference images, this will help me to get my drawing just like I want it to look:

Then, I start to grasp the basic shape of the drawing, this will help me make a cleaner lineart. In this step I choose a light color like blue, pink, or gray so I don’t get it mixed with the lineart later on:

Once I’m happy with what the general shape of the drawing looks like, I’ll go to making the clean lineart over the drawing base, in a different layer. It usually takes me a lot of time and a lot of doing and redoing each line so I can get them just right!

Now that I’m happy with the lineart, I make the base for the mas in a layer below by coloring the interior of the lineart in a solid color:

Using the mask technique may be tedius at first but trust me in the long run it makes it for a more polished look. So after I’ve made the base of the drawing, i create a new layer above the base layer and below the lineart and I clip it to the layer below with the “Create Clipping Mask”. So now I color with the actual colors I’ll use in the drawing. It doesn’t matter if they’re not perfect at this point, you just have to get the generl idea of what you want your coloring to look like.

In this next step I went back to the wolf picture and added more detail to the base of the color in order to make it more realistic I copied the pattern from a picture. This took me seriously HOURS but in the end it came up very realistic:

After my coloring base is done I’ll come in for the texture in a different layer and add the finishin touches, and VOILA, you get yourself a complete drawing! In this step I also decided to change the color of the lineart with “ctrl+u” on the lineart layer.

I really like how realistic and fluffy it came out! Definitely proud of this one. Anyway let me know what you think in the reblogs! The total time for this drawing was about 8 to 9 hours but imo it was worth every second.
