âfuck corporations like Walmart and Barnes and Nobles!! Steal from them!!.âÂ
Also known as
âLetâs fuck over the lives of everyday retail workers while pretending that weâre getting back at corporate!!â
Like⌠do Y'all realize that by stealing from stores you are not at all getting back at corporate? Like, not one damn person in corporate is affected by shoplifting. All corporate is gonna do is make up for the shrinkage by reducing the number of hours, the number of raises, and bonuses that employees at that store have to access to. It is neither illegal nor exploitation. All you are doing is putting retail workers out of a job because somehow, in your tiny mind, you thought that by shoplifting you were affecting anyone at corporate.Â
Hereâs a real life situation of how stealing from a store, a corporate store, fucks over itâs workers. Alaska used to have a couple of K-Marts, however in the 90âs they were getting pushed out by Walmart, which happens and thatâs corporate stuff, however there was one K-Mary left in Anchorage. It had to close because it was losing over 50k in stolen property a month. 50,000 dollars in stolen items. The store simply couldnât keep up or justify staying open to home office so they closed, and a lot of people lost their jobs. In the area this place was located, there was a Costco, a Samâs and a Safeway and if youâre unfamiliar with Anchorage, everything is SUPER spread out, especially then and this was one of the only supermarkets in that area, that didnât require a bus ride or driving. And as you know, Costco and Sams require a membership, which not everyone can afford. It screwed over that area for a long time.

Scarfolk is a fictional British town thatâs permanently stuck in the â70â˛s. Graphic designer Richard Littler, the in-world mayor and real-world creator of the little dystopia, was inspired by his childhood in Manchester in the 1970â˛s, where he remembers being terrified by how the media blurred the lines between real and paranormal. Read more about Scarfolk here.
iâve said it before iâll say it again thereâs a difference between lady gaga singing born this way in 2011 and taylor swift singing âshade never made anyone less gayâ (whatever the fuck that means) to profit off of it in 2019
The difference is that Lady Gaga is bisexual and Taylor Swift is straight
Honestly, even if Taylor came out as gay or bi tomorrow, âYou Need To Calm Downâ would still be tacky because of tone an content.
Born This Way was, unequivocally, âYou are beautiful for being YOU in a world that often tells you youâre notâ while âYou Need To Calm Downâ is basically âMe, and The Gaysâ˘, have hatersâ.
Gaga was singing about celebrating herself with Born This Way. Taylor Swift comes off as comparing homophobia as equivocable the beef she had with Katy Perry.
I feel a better comparison from the early 10s is Same Love by Macklemore. While yeah, the song is clumsy and hokey, at least âI received a lot of misdirected homophobia growing up and I can only imagine how much worse it is for gay folksâ is more tasteful than âhomophobia is just like when critics say my songs arenât good or I get snake emoji replies on Twitter.â
Even if she has the best intentions, the final product comes off as, well, tone deaf and a little exploitative.
In this house we stan Lady Gaga
