Fusion au headcanons

(Given I'm going to write more with fusions since....I've gone back down the rabbit hole, in just....gonna write these)

Fusion is a very rare thing, especially if it's between more than two people. They have to be feeling the exact same emotions, whether it be positive or negative.

When a Fusion is made, they are a mix of the others that make them, and something completely new. Like a newborn, they are unfamiliar with their world, though the more compatible the ones that make them, the more they know amd understand, and more stable they are

While their personality and mind os their own, the others that make the fusion is still there, but dormant for the most part.

If the fusion is in distress, the ones that make them can awaken enough to bring comfort and knowledge.

Their mind is their own for the most part, but of they were to concentrate enough, they could see the individuals that make them, awaken them.

If the fusion is stable enough, they can even talk to their individual selves.

When they unfuse, there is a bit of the other that lingers with them, as well as the last emotions the fusion feels.

When it's an urru and skeksis fusion it becomes the most stable, even if it isn't the same urru amd skeksis (ex: skekgra and yea fusion)

If someone fuses with a skeksis, everything is more chaotic and imbalanced. While urru fusions tend to be more calm, but still imbalanced, though less so.

Oh gosh, I don’t actually know it. I’m only familiar with it from tumblr, alas. I’m passingly familiar with egg man, short haired blond lady, giant bull man, slinky thiefer dude, and dwarf guy? :D But possibly not well enough to do a true proper fusion.

Strange Magic Fusions pt.3 Bog and Dawn

(I finally got around to writing down my thoughts on another fusion. Dawn and Bog this time.)

Bog and Dawn’s fusion is the second tallest, after Bog and Marianne. Four blue eyes but only one set of arms, legs, and wings.  Their wings are large, but rounded and are iridescent like Bog’s, only more so. Bog’s only look rainbow in certain lights, Bog and Dawn’s fusion’s wings are constantly glittering with various colors. They also have a band of pinkish orange on them around the rims of the wings. Their “hair” resembles Bog’s leaf-like head things, but in the shape of Dawn’s hair. Teeth are slightly pointed as are their nails, but not fully fangs or claws. Only small bits of Bog’s armor show through as arm and leg bracers on the shin and forearm.

Personality wise, they’re very sweet if sometimes a bit unsure. Dawn’s happiness and carefree nature balances out Bog’s bitterness so they’re somewhat mellow until it comes time to party. Bog’s dramatic flair and Dawn’s giddiness and fun-loving personality combine for a fusion who loves BIG, LOUD, and BRIGHT. They don’t really feel the need to show off, like Bog and Marianne’s fusion, and instead just revel in having fun and being the center of attention. Also a hopeless romantic, much to Bog’s embarrassment when he unfuses. They love sappy love songs, romantic homemade gifts, singing, dancing and just sighing over how lovely everything is. Dawn cancels out Bog’s instinct to hide away anything cute or perky about himself so his own romantic and whimsical side comes out a lot.

Bog enjoys being fused with Dawn, but is generally embarrassed by everything their fusion does after unfusing. He always tells himself he’ll make sure he’s still secretive and serious while fused, but as soon as he does that part of him forgets why on earth he would ever want to keep his feelings in. Their fusion tends to be very open about their own feelings and the feelings of Dawn and Bog, which upsets Bog to no end. Marianne’s ribbing him for how much they giggle doesn’t help.

Their music style is generally upbeat songs with darker lyrics or shredding guitar. “Get Ready to Die” by Andrew W.K. comes to mind. Their fusion dance is a simplified ballroom sort of dance that ends with Dawn spinning out, then back into Bog’s arms. Very based on respect.

Pearl + Peridot = Jadite

Pearl + Jasper = Tiger’s Eye

Strange Magic Fusions: Pt.2 Sunny/Dawn

Sunny/Dawn

Smallest of the fusions. Only about as tall as Bog is normally. Two arms. Four, smaller, streamlined wings similar to Dawn’s in color with ladybug-like markings. Light brown skin with TONS of freckles all over their face and body.  Dark blonde hair that sticks up in all directions but as a whole pulls slightly upwards like Sunny’s, but not so extreme.

Personality is very bubbly and happy. Just pure joy 24/7. They love singing, dancing, laughing, anything that’s fun. They are in a constant state of love and happiness. Dawn’s wings and Sunny’s natural agility make them an incredibly swift and adept flyer. Both obstacles and gravity seem to not apply to them, bouncing off the ground and summersaulting through the air. Weaving around and swinging off of branches. They can navigate the treacherous branches and brambles of the Dark Forest even better than Bog and have a great time doing it.

Music style is similar to the song they sing together in the movie, Three Little Birds, along with bubbly kind of pop songs.

Their fusion dance is much less organized and practiced than Marianne and Bog’s. Just some twirls and spinning around holding the other’s hands. It’s not about showing off, it’s just about dancing together and having fun.

Strange Magic Fusions P1.Bog/Marianne

I can’t draw but I’ve been thinking about these a lot lately so just descriptions. Basically gem fusion but I’m going by the idea that they’re not actually gems, just able to fuse the same way.

No names because literally all the combinations of their names sound terrible.

They’re long so I’ll split them into parts

Bog/Marianne: Biggest of the fusions. Four arms. Bog’s plates meld perfectly with Marianne’s clothes and skin so it looks like armor and not just clumps of hardened skin sprouting out of normal fairy skin. Marianne’s hair but longer and spikier. Fangs and claws are a must, along with prehensile feet like Bog’s. Four wings, each a mixture between butterfly and dragonfly wings. Like, in the basic shape of Bog’s wings but with jagged butterfly membrane instead of iridescent like Bog’s. All torn up. Their overall look is pretty chaotic. But in a good way.

Personality wise, they are incredibly confidant in their abilities and they often get carried away showing off. Their weapons fuse together to make a double sided spear which they can twirl around their whole body like insane baton twirlers (and do, often, because they are a huge showboat). They’re made of their love and respect for each other which leads them to be constantly in awe of themselves.

On the flip side, just as their adoration merges together and builds off of the other’s, so does their insecurities about themselves. Many are blocked out by the other. For example, Bog’s feelings of disliking how he looks is canceled out by Marianne’s confidence and disinterest in her own appearance, combined with her love of his. Feelings of being “different” or “not good enough”, however, hit them hard. As do being tricked or lied to, especially if they fall for it.

Additionally, both Marianne and Bog have fiery tempers. Marianne is quick to anger and Bog is prone to sudden bursts of violence. On their own, Marianne can’t do a lot of damage without meaning to, and Bog has good control over himself so he never actually hurts anyone. But combined, you’re left with a very powerful and quick to anger being who has little concept of what’s taking things “too far”.  

When faced with something that really jabs at their shared insecurities, they either become unstable and split, or channel their discomfort and hurt into a rage that can be very dangerous to those around them.

Their brand of music is really intense rock, sometimes venturing into metal. Basically things where people wailing on the guitar and there’s a lot of yelling. Billy Talent songs come to mind. Also “Monster” by Nicki Minaj for some reason, mostly because this fusion reminds me a lot of Sugilite.

Their fusion dance is a lot like their “Wild Thing” dance. A lot of energy and using their momentum to spin them around really quickly. It ends with Bog throwing Marianne into the sky, then launching himself up and crashing into her.
