Decided to look into "The Pitt", and here are some ofmy assorted thoughts!
First of all, I think I just found my two newest kins! And my two favorite characters, apart from Trinity Santos, John Shen, and Emma Nolan. I also have Michael Robinavitch and James Ogilvie as my guilty favs. Although, I just love The Pittlings in particular!
Not really a big shipper, because I see as more of "Michael Robinavitch and his 6+ kids that he's either already traumatized (Langdon and Mohan, aka. Superboy and the Invisible Girl) or run the risk of traumatizing (the Pittling quartet), but Kingdon and Crashtos are two noticeable exceptions! Although, considering I'm shipping the Terror Twins with my two Pitt kins, this might say something about me...
Although, ever since I saw a post about it, Trinabby is starting to become even more alluring, especially in combination with Kingdon.
Speaking of Kingdon, I will pay ACTUAL MONEY to see Taylor Dearden and Patrick Ball performing in "Waitress", whether as Jenna and Dr. Pomatter or as Dawn and Ogie (especially after finding out that Langdon is a historical reenactment geek)!
As you can probably tell, I'm not one for The Big Dominant Yaoi Ship on AO3 that you can probably correctly guess.
I've gotten quite a few verbal stims from the clips I've seen, particularly Whitaker and Santos whole exchange about how she likes him being her roommate, Becca exposing her sister's feelings for Langdon, and (oddly enough) Robby yelling at Samira.
We also NEED to see a spin-off of Whitaker and Santos shenanigans as roommates, as Santos later adopts the other Pittlings as her extra roommates.
RIP Victoria Javadi, you would have loved calling Trinity Santos a tsundere.
From what I've seen, Robby seems like the Jax of "The Pitt". Mommy issues, refusal to talk about or get help with his issues, projecting on everybody like a madman, stuck in a chaotic torment nexus that is continuing to unravel his sanity, latent misogyny and lashing out against his many narrative foils. The only difference between them is that I'm not sure if estrogen could fix Dr. Robby or not.
Do you think having a SEKAI could fix Michael Robinavitch and/or the other workers at the Pitt?
As someone who LOVES "Danganronpa: Despair Time", it only makes sense that I would be captivated by a cast full of heavily-flawed characters in which everybody is a foil to everybody. (Also, I'm imagining Arei and David's lounge talk, except it's Trinity and Robby.)
Here's to hoping that Sepideh Moafi wins that Supporting Actress Emmy! It would, quite literally, make history!

For Disability Pride Month, I decided to try my hand at writing a new backstory for Ricky Potts...

Despite their terrifying reputations, true to their namesake, the Pottses were peaceful souls, who spent their days reading comic books and feeding their cats. They had fourteen cats. By the time he was six years old, Richard's rare degenerative disease caused his knees to buckle and for him to lose his power of speech, leaving him, much like his parents, only able to communicate through American Sign Language. Patronized, pushed around, and condescended to throughout his life, far from growing bitter, Richard developed an elaborate playground in his synapses, where he became his own best friend.
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the fantasia of Richard Potts, the most imaginative boy in town!"

Thought of a New Prompt for a Fangan
(Yes, even though I'm procrastinating on my own Fangan, but hear me out!)
This was primarily inspired by the fanon concept of "pre-game personalities" and the idea of the V3 cast being cruel jerks before getting their killing game personalities, while also throwing in some Isekai-Ronpa.
From there, I thought of the reverse: what if the TV executives behind the killing game wanted to create only the most irritating and unsympathetic cast of one-dimensional assholes possible, in order to make their audience root for their inevitable deaths? They do this by taking otherwise decent people (you can decide if they were Ultimate students before or not), brainwashing them, and either flanderizing their existing personality traits or giving them the complete opposite of their original personality. Bonus points if they get personality traits that run completely counter to their Ultimate talents (like an archetypical therapist friend being turned into a violent and impatient Ultimate Therapist who doesn't care about anybody or their grievances).
Through the POV of the protagonist, we have to watch as their real personality is screaming from within their brain, as the fabricated character they've been forced into says or does heinous things they would never say or do in a million years.
However, the brainwashing doesn't work as well as the execs thought, as the protagonist, for one reason or another, regains their original personality, as the mastermind's planned story rapidly goes off the rails from Chapter 1 onwards, as more and more people regain their original personalities. From there, it's an uphill battle for both the cast and the showrunners.
And there could be an afterlife setting where the dead students have to watch the way the show has forced them to behave on loop, as they constantly think (*Adam Sandler Dracula voice*) "This is how we're represented? Unbelievable!"
(Bonus points if the mastermind is the one seemingly-normal person in the group, God Mod Sue-ing their way into admiration and in-universe character shilling for things like leadership skills, participation in class trials, and punishing people that they don't like, for whatever reason.)
