i lowkey like TodoFutsuu

and there is so much potential that i have thought of. Futsuumaru is this happy go lucky guy, he has a simple job, goes to school, he’s fairly average (thus his name). He likes to play phone games, especially Pokemon Go. Todomatsu knows him from his temp job at Starbucks because it was a Pokemon Gym that Futsuu kept going to, to make sure no one would beat him and at quiet times they’d talk about the game, Totty secretly being super into it. They start going off on adventures to shrines and weird locations finding unique Pokemon and eventually they just get closer and bond further over video (phone) games.  Futsuumaru ironically looks up to Todomatsu (both figuratively and literally since Futsuu is a bit shorter) and likes Totty’s sly, tactfulness and ability to do strategy. Since phone games are bigger in Japan they play a few others where they co-op and just sit and drink coffee and laugh. Their relationship is playful and innocent and both are worried about their family’s perspective of the two being together. (Todomatsu has five brothers and two parents while they all might not be like :( he is still extremely terrified to come out and say he likes Futsuu, while Futsuu’s parents are super conservative and don’t even want to have their boy playing mobile games as they’re distracting and not mature.) I feel like Atsushi is more a frienemy or friendly rival or a guy who looks down on Todomatsu and uses him as this filler for mixers. Basically if Atsushi needs another guy, Todomatsu is a filler that will work as another guy while not taking attention from Atsushi and his ACTUAL friends. [[then thanks to my friends i kinda like AtsuChoro which is silly to me but I really like it]]

I decided to draw more miitopia-based matsus. This time I drew Todomatsu’s friends as the Fab Fairies.

Poor Totty has very conflicted feelings about this 😅

Also a bonus Kusosuke, because he/she actually ended up coming out pretty cute.

Honestly though, why did the OsoStaff give “Normalmaru” and “Shittysuke” the type of awkward/punny placeholder names for ‘unimportant background characters that’ll never get used again’, but gave Atsushi an actual name they actually thought about as if he was going to be a significant character but then never use him again? Except for artwork and that split second he was in the JRA episode but that wasn’t even a real role.

This doesn’t add up and RIP Futsuumaru and Kusosuke tbh lmao
