Lila has to be future Hawkmoth

I've seen some people theorzize that Lila isn't future "TimeTagger" Hawkmoth. I strongly disagree with that theory. Lila has to be future Hawkmoth. From a story writing point of view you can't have Marinette keep failing to retrieve the butterfly miraculous over and over again without making her look really incompetent.

In light of Felix taking both fake miraculous instead of just the peacock like I thought he would in risk I figured I'd make a poll to see what miraculous people think he's gonna get

I'm 90% sure that most people will vote peacock but I'm curious to see the distribution and who knows, the butterfly miraculous has a rule that you can't be akumatized while transformed so maybe sentimonsters can't use the peacock miraculous so felix gets something else? Idk

Idk how this would happen but if we got Felix and Lila as a future Hawkmoth/Mayura team that would be A) terrifying and B) incredible.

Because think about it! As all the teens in the show grow up, they would be evenly matched against LB and CN in power. Ladybug and Chat would have the advantage of being an incredible team (as by then they'd likely know each other's identities), but Felix and Lila would be SO SMART. Felix's practical skills combined with Lila's manipulation would be menacing if they united under a common goal. I feel like Felix would figure out their identities but they'd be better prepared by then so maybe they'd have a way to combat that.

Idk, maybe I'll expand on this again sometime, but I'm liking this theory 🤔

at this point Gabriel having any kind of redemption arc seems almost impossible to have with the absolutely batshit things he has enabled. he isn't the future Hawk Moth according to Time Tagger, do you think it's possible that his miraculous (possibly the peacock as well) is going to get stolen by someone worse and he'll reluctantly have to go to Ladybug and Chat and be like "so...uhh" and then get the 'jerk former nemesis' treatment?

i do think that is a distinct possibility, yeah. at this point in the narrative, it’s highly unlikely that anything other than failure will make gabriel reconsider his ways; he is simply too far gone. but if there is a future hawkmoth, we can assume that ladybug and chat noir do not really “defeat” gabriel’s version of hawkmoth, which leaves two possibilities:

his miraculous is stolen by someone who takes over (most likely lila, but maybe the show will throw us a curveball and it’ll be someone else)

hawkmoth actually wins and makes the wish. there’s some cost that needs to be undone, but more importantly, emilie is back, and she is evil

both scenarios set up for a depowered gabriel to reluctantly work with the heroes to stop the new big bad. the second one is more interesting to me, mostly because i firmly believe emilie is shady, but also because that gives a way more solid reason for ladybug and chat noir to accept gabriel’s help: he knows emilie the best.

preferably this will be paired with gabriel not knowing the identities of the heroes, so that chat noir feels free to unleash his inner cattiness in a way he’d be uncomfortable doing as adrien, because if he has to work with his old man, he deserves to regularly roast him the entire time. and gabriel goes to jail afterwards anyways because in spite of his help defeating the new hawkmoth, the excessive code violations in the agreste manor were just too much for the mayor to ignore
