Task 7: Future Projection
In this task, we took the ruins created in the previous task and using Vray Renders and Photoshop, I had to envision what the landscape would like in the span of 25 years and 100 years in the future.
In the 25 year projections, I imagined the world becoming barren and wearing down. Concrete and marble cracking and starting crumble. The pathway into the habitation sinking and rising out of its original placement. With a strong sunlight throughout the day, the bright colours of the ruin become drained out colour, almost sunburnt to a crisp. The land becomes dry and cracked.
In a following 100 years, the landscape adapts. What once was the bare mountainside, is now forming a new life. Moss and vines wrap and choke the once human made forms. Songbirds rest here now, a perfect lookout over the landscape yet they are not the same “birds” we once new. Bright and florescent colours to attract with a song, but only to become their next meal. Deerlike creatures emerge in the daylight yet they still hide in the shade.
Something lurks and rooms this land. Taken over the abandoned civilizations and now rules. Be wary, traveler.
