Still catching up on my journal. So what happened last Thursday?

I continued listening to Mistborn till I got to the last hour of the audio book so I can listen to it at home.

I started raining hard the last hour of work; but I didn't mind in fact I love the rain. This did become a problem later because we couldn't work in the rain. So we cleaned up the machines back at the shop and me being bright decided to clean the grass build up from underneath the mower deck. Now what was wrong about this and how does this play into the rain. Well to clean the mower deck you have to be underneath it so I scratched off the grass, the grass fell and got stuck on me because of how wet I was. Which caused me to be itchy for the rest of the workday till I could get home and take a shower.

My girlfriend's birthday is coming up and I was thinking about getting her the game Cult Following. It's something she talked about playing for a little while now and so I decided to get that for her; but then I found out it was out of print. So I asked her brother if he has any suggestions and he said " that's a good question" and that was the extent of what he said. I decided to continue my hunt and found a gently used one on eBay, so I committed and got that for her.

That evening I got myself an ice cream sandwich and laid down on the floor and looked up at the ceiling as I listened to the last of era 1 Mistborn and it was amazing. The rest of this post will be spoilers for the original Mistborn trilogy.

The Mistborn trilogy sets up the story with the promise that a thieving crew was going to kill a god and it delivered. Of course in the first book there intention was to end The Lord Ruler which they saw as god but they pulled back a bit. Of course The Lord Ruler wasn't god Kelsire said this in the first book; but over the course they did eventually kill Desolation who was (a) god of this world.

Something that I love about this series gives us a lot of questions and we don't have all the pieces of the puzzle to figure everything out and as soon as one part is figured out and think we're done the book gives us more and gosh darn it is satisfying when it gives us the answers. Everything felt intentional.

I would like to say the best part of the books are the characters. They are so well done rememberable every single character is fun and I love them all ( except Srtaff I was so happy then he died and ceremoniously ). If I had to pick out a to 5 favorite character I would have to say Vin, Elend, Breeze, Sazed, and Allrianne.

Overall it was an amazing book. And overall today was a pretty good day.

Ok what happened today?

Today I trimmed a bush while listening to the third Mistborn book. It was pretty nice.

Tonight I volunteered at the temple and one of my friends that recently got married was giving me advice for when I eventually go ring shopping/ wedding planning. I also talked to some of my other friends throughout the shift as well.

I don't have all too much detail to take about with my day; but it's suffices to say that today was pretty good

Still playing catch up on my journal. What happened Saturday?

Saturday me and my girlfriend had a date that morning. Our date plan was a hike and it was quite enjoyable for about a half an hour to an hour; when it started to rain. So we scrambled for a plan b and on a whim we went to a cheap store to make fun of some stupid stuff we found. It was surprisingly fun, I would definitely recommend it if you and your partner have a good sense of humor.

Afterwards we went to Wendy's and had lunch and just talked for a while. Afterwards we went to Walmart because she needed some duck tape for her car. We all talked for a while about homes and what we want our future house to be like.

Then I drove her back to her house and on the way there we talked about wedding planning.

Afterwards I volunteered at the temple and I ran into a friend on the way out and I talked to him for a while.

Overall today was a pretty darn good day.

Almost forgot to do a diary entry so here it is!!

After I went to church I went to my girlfriend's ward because they had a linger longer. So we had some snacks and I caught up with some friends that go to that ward. BTW a linger longer is when there's a treats or a meal after church to encourage people to socialize.

Anyways me and my girlfriend then went to a devotional for those who volunteer at the temple. It was pretty nice and there was some good talks and it was nice being there with my girlfriend. A bunch of my friends were also there and I got to show off my girlfriend.

Overall today was a pretty darn good day; but yet it's always a good day when I'm with my girlfriend.

Okie dokie what happened today?

Not much of note for today.

The new people that I'm working with are pretty nice they keep asking and making sure that I don't need help.

I made some spaghetti but forgot to check to see if we had pasta before I started so I had butter noodles instead.

Planned a date with my girlfriend over text.

Finally I got curious enough and looked into the Bricks and Minifigs scandal. Which is very crazy by the way how far it escalated.

Overall today was good. By the way only two more weeks till I get my first paycheck :)

What happened today?

Today when I was doing the lawns at one of the elementary schools and there was a bunch of chalk art done by kids and I mean it took up all the bus parking. He photos of the highlights.

After work, my girlfriend and I went on our date. We got some Wendy's went to the temple and we started watching Nasicaa The Valley of the Wind; but had to call it short cuz it was getting late. For our next day we are planning on finishing Nasicaa and Suzume.

I also read a tad more of And Then There Were None. Still pretty good. This also sparked discussion about dark nursery rhymes on our date because of the poem that's in it. Which was fun.

Anyways overall today was perfect darn good.

Okie dokie, what happened today?

Last night I got an ear ache so I self medicated and put some isopropyl alcohol in my ear. Which worked for the most part; but it meant I didn't get that much sleep.

Two of my bosses argued with each other because they can't communicate and I just sat there glad that I'm just in a temp position.

I can't remember if high school graduation is today or tomorrow; but regardless. Because graduation is coming up soon we had to blow off the bleachers. I tried my best; but my leaf blower was not in good condition and kept stopping and on top of that there was a tree overhanging mine so there was a bunch of sticks.

While we were there a bunch of highlights was having a tailgate party and drifting in the parking lot...which had people in it... and lots of cars... needless to say the as weren't sharpened crayons in the box. Some continued to do this after one of the coaches confronted them and told them to stop. Anyways the rest of the day was at the middle school so that's no longer my problem.

Throughout the day periodically me and my girlfriend were texting each other about what our next date should be which was nice.

I also checked out the book "And Then There Was None" by Agatha Christie and it's pretty good so far. It's inspirited by a nursery rhyme called 10 Little Soldier Boys. Which side note why are nursery rhymes so morbid? Anyways it's good so far I'm in the middle of chapter 3.

After work today I went on a date with my girlfriend ( who is the best). We went and got some Chinese food. Which I'm not a big fan of due to me being a picky eater; but she was craving it and I was feeling kinda adventurous for some reason. I tried some new foods and one of which I enjoyed. She was happy that she got me to try something new.

Afterwards we went to the temple and did some dancing. She said I'm getting better at dancing and getting better with transitions. I'm glad she thinks so, because to me I feel very sloppy.

Throughout the night we talked about, traveling locations, flowers, kids being fun, the amazing digital circus, hiking, ect.

We had a great time and I'm glad we were able to go out. She lives a half hour away so I don't get to see her as much as I like and I'm always looking forward to seeing her again.

Some other smaller things that happened was I read some 7 Seeds and a kid asked me how I was doing I said good then I asked him the same and his response was "no" then he laughed maniacally.

Overall today was absolutely wonderful!!
