Alrighty yo what happened today?

Today I put some decorations for the 4th of July and wrap some birthday presents; one for my girlfriend and the other for my friend.

I also watched some Twitch and did some drawing. I really want to participate in art fight but I'm behind on sitting my OCs to the website.

Anyways not much else to talk about for today; but it was a good day.

Okay last time to do a diary entry so here it is.

Yesterday I had the day off because of the 4th of July this weekend and I spent the day cleaning the house and preparing for my DND campaign's session zero.

It was pretty good three out of the four party members was able to make it and had a fun time together. We went over rules, expectations, and the campaign setting. Afterwards we went into character creation one of them is new to D&D so I helped him through the process. Our party at the moment consists of a goblin bard, tiefling ranger, and Link from Legend of Zelda.

I still need to get with my other friend that's in the party; but through some text conversations it sounds like he wants to be a rogue based on a character called the Florid Sward from the book series The Wingfeather Saga.

Night night me and my younger brother also watched Coreyxkenshin react to some scary videos. Afterwards my younger brother was scared and we watched Ryan Trahan to calm down.

Anyways it was a darn pretty good day.

Last night I got sidetracked because a friend wasn't asked me about the DND campaign and was unable to write my journal entry. So here it is.

I finished my re-read of Tress of The Emerald Sea and started a re-read of Yumi and the Nightmare Painter while I waited for my turn for the next Mistborn book from the library. It pretty good I did remember too much from the and am excited to see what happens. The only downside is I do landscaping in the hot sun and the description of Yumi's hot planet is not very helpful to take my mind off that.

At work today two of the managers are pretty close so we had pizza to celebrate.

I had my Institute of Religion class that day and while I waited for the doors to open I just laid down on the shady grass for awhile. During class I am finally able to get some work done on my OC's art to submit to are fighting. My girlfriend is really pumped about it and already finished her first attack and started working on another during the class.

After the class my girlfriend shared her leftover bread sticks with me and we made plans for our next date. After she left I caught up with some friends

Overall today was pretty good.

Today I'm going to be responsible and do my journal entry the day of. So what happened today?

Today the lawn mower was actually working. So that's a good sign right there right.

I continued listening to Tress of the emerald Sea I should be finished with it tomorrow.

Tonight was a young man's activity and we had some missionaries come by and they could share some experience they had and the young men could ask questions.

Not much else to say about today; but it was good.

Ok what happened yesterday? The lawn mower broke down again. I think it would be nice to go one week without something breaking. Anyways they MIGHT have fixed it.

I've been re-listening to Tress of The Emerald Sea during work because I need something less intense after Mistborn. Tress is probably my favorite book and It's fun to reread to pick up on all of the foreshadowing.

I also caught up on my journal. Then didn't write one that night because I am bad at learning lessons.

The card game I bought for my girlfriend's birthday arrived and I organized it for her on the account of it being used. I also got some game pieces that look like this.

Except I got about 36 game pieces. I want to be able to use dry erase markers on them so I spent some time putting some packing tape on them.

Anyways today was a good day.

Ok I'm almost done catching up with my journal. So what happened yesterday?

Yesterday I went to church and nearly went to sleep. Then my mom decided to be a buzz kill and woke me up from my holly nap ( this is sarcasm). One of my friends was at my church this week and I talked to him for a little bit before going to help with primary.

After church I tried to catch up with my journal entries and it took way longer than it should. Not much of note happened today.

Anyways today was good

Still playing catch up on my journal. What happened Saturday?

Saturday me and my girlfriend had a date that morning. Our date plan was a hike and it was quite enjoyable for about a half an hour to an hour; when it started to rain. So we scrambled for a plan b and on a whim we went to a cheap store to make fun of some stupid stuff we found. It was surprisingly fun, I would definitely recommend it if you and your partner have a good sense of humor.

Afterwards we went to Wendy's and had lunch and just talked for a while. Afterwards we went to Walmart because she needed some duck tape for her car. We all talked for a while about homes and what we want our future house to be like.

Then I drove her back to her house and on the way there we talked about wedding planning.

Afterwards I volunteered at the temple and I ran into a friend on the way out and I talked to him for a while.

Overall today was a pretty darn good day.

Ok next on my list of days to catch up on is Friday. So what happened Friday?

Not much happened Friday. Not much of note anyways. Since I have money now I went and washed my car which was nice. I also watched Super Girl with my brother. By the way the movie was pretty good I think I deserves a bit more love than it got. Not saying it was a masterpiece or anything; but it was good. The characters and the fight choreography were pretty good, the story is compelling, and they had some good music choices. I will admit in a couple of spots the writing was rough; but overall it was a pretty good movie.

Anyways today was pretty good.

Still catching up on my journal. So what happened last Thursday?

I continued listening to Mistborn till I got to the last hour of the audio book so I can listen to it at home.

I started raining hard the last hour of work; but I didn't mind in fact I love the rain. This did become a problem later because we couldn't work in the rain. So we cleaned up the machines back at the shop and me being bright decided to clean the grass build up from underneath the mower deck. Now what was wrong about this and how does this play into the rain. Well to clean the mower deck you have to be underneath it so I scratched off the grass, the grass fell and got stuck on me because of how wet I was. Which caused me to be itchy for the rest of the workday till I could get home and take a shower.

My girlfriend's birthday is coming up and I was thinking about getting her the game Cult Following. It's something she talked about playing for a little while now and so I decided to get that for her; but then I found out it was out of print. So I asked her brother if he has any suggestions and he said " that's a good question" and that was the extent of what he said. I decided to continue my hunt and found a gently used one on eBay, so I committed and got that for her.

That evening I got myself an ice cream sandwich and laid down on the floor and looked up at the ceiling as I listened to the last of era 1 Mistborn and it was amazing. The rest of this post will be spoilers for the original Mistborn trilogy.

The Mistborn trilogy sets up the story with the promise that a thieving crew was going to kill a god and it delivered. Of course in the first book there intention was to end The Lord Ruler which they saw as god but they pulled back a bit. Of course The Lord Ruler wasn't god Kelsire said this in the first book; but over the course they did eventually kill Desolation who was (a) god of this world.

Something that I love about this series gives us a lot of questions and we don't have all the pieces of the puzzle to figure everything out and as soon as one part is figured out and think we're done the book gives us more and gosh darn it is satisfying when it gives us the answers. Everything felt intentional.

I would like to say the best part of the books are the characters. They are so well done rememberable every single character is fun and I love them all ( except Srtaff I was so happy then he died and ceremoniously ). If I had to pick out a to 5 favorite character I would have to say Vin, Elend, Breeze, Sazed, and Allrianne.

Overall it was an amazing book. And overall today was a pretty good day.

Alright the last few evenings I was up late (including tonight) so I wasn't able to write a journal entry so I'll try to get them out.

So last Wednesday I continued listening to Mistborn and had about 4 hours left.

Today I got paid and was really happy. This may sound weird but I was really excited to go to the bank and pay my tithing (tithing is where you pay 10% of all money you earn and pay it to the Lord). I felt really good to withdraw that money, I truly am grateful for the Lord, if it went from Him I wouldn't have had this money in the first place.

I had my Institute of Religion Class and I talked with my girlfriend a bunch, and caught up with one of my friends. This friend is always going to be one of my players and talked a tad about the campaign.

I forgot to make a diary entry yesterday so here it is.

Yesterday I listened to some more Mistborn The Hero of Ages during work and I'm now 60% of my way through the book putting myself in part 4.

The last few hours of work I was trimming trees which was nice because it was 90+ degrees yesterday and I got to work in the shade.

There was Young Mens that night and the activity was captured the flag. Me and my younger brother went to pick up a young man that wanted to join us; but we didn't know exactly where the activity was. So we just drove around for a half hour till we found the turn off.

Also my girlfriend got off the mountain early and I remembered that Art Fight was a thing and asked if she wanted to do it with me. She said I sounded interesting so we'll see what happens. I found out about Art Fight last year after I wrapped up and now I'm excited to participate.

I've learned that as long as I'm following safety protocol I can listen to audiobooks as I work. So as long as I have the proper healing protection with it I can listen to anything I want. So I listen to Miss Born The Hero of Ages and now I'm 44% of the way through the Book. It's really good hopefully this is not spoiler territory but we're starting to get to the point where they are having dancing balls again which were some of my favorite parts of the first book I'm so happy I get to see some of those aspects again.

At work we also trimmed some trees at one of the elementary schools.

I now have enough people to start a DND Campaign. I have 4 good friends who are able to join the campaign and where setting up when we will do our Session 0.

When I got home and made some pasta

Any whozlel today was pretty good.

Ok so what things happened today?

Today I went to church then I visited my grandparents and chatted with some family. When I got home I wanted some DND video to brush up on my DM skills so I can start my DND campaign. So far 3 of my friends said yes.

Honestly not much to say about today It was a pretty chill day.

Ok so what happened today ?

Not much to be honest besides trying to fix an outdoor faucet; but we didn't have the right part. So I folded my clothes and dand it doesn't seem like a big deal but I didn't have folded laundry for a month and it feels nice to have clothes in my drawer instead of digging through the laundry.

Today I volunteered at the temple and I talked to a friend about dungeons and dragons. When I get home I messaged some friends if they were interested in joining a DND campaign. So far I have 1 yes and 2 have something going on during the planned session time. I have a few other friends that haven't gotten back to me yet so we'll see what happens.

Anyway I say today was good.

Already yo what happened today?

My girlfriend's family is up on the mountain for the week so I Matt with my girlfriend and gave her a ride up and I stayed the rest of the day there.

While I was getting ready I re-listened to Epic The musical.

Before we headed up we stopped at the store to get a few things then headed up the mountain. It was an hour-long drive most of which was on a dirt road; It was nice driving I didn't feel that long talking to her.

You mainly play board games while we were up there. We played one called Munchkin which is kind of a D&D inspired board game with some nerdy jokes built into it. The other one was one called codename which is when you try to get the partner to pick the right cards I don't know if it's hard to explain.

It was a time I was already friends with her brother in high school and I met her parents a couple of times with them.

Then on the way back I listen to Mistborn The Hero of Ages and we're starting to get into Spook's perspective. Also took some nice nature photos on the way back. Siri was very nice. At some point I was tempted to take a picture but I was like nah let's just take it scenery.

Overall say it's pretty good I really loved spending time with my girlfriend and her family. Already looking forward to next time I get to see her.

It slips my mind to write my diary entry so... here it is now.

Yesterday was the last day of the week for me do to me working 10-hour shifts. I've really been having bad luck lately since the mower stopped starting again. By the way I really admire people that could just instantly diagnose what's wrong with machinery. The first time the lower broke my boss went to go try to start it didn't start It's like ah yeah it's the starter and a different person went to Ghost start the mower the second time it broke and it's like oh yeah It's the battery then he went did that. Mechanics are basically witches. Luckily this was the quicker fix so It only took about an hour or so before I was back to mowing.

Yesterday got pretty hot so I just went into autopilot during the second half of the day and my mind just wandered off thinking about dungeons and dragons and stuff. Man I really want to start that DND campaign. I'll start calling people next week to see who's able to join the campaign.

I wasn't very happy when I got home though The first thing my dad told me was that don't take care of my car and I don't have appreciation for it since I'm not the one paying for it. Danny told me to start two projects. Anyways I'd begrudgingly did it I fixed the roof for the chicken coop and fixed the flashing for the roof while listening to Epic The musical.

I then took a shower made a bowl of pasta and watched eye contact creator that I like. The day got way better with pasta. What I've learned is pasta makes everything better.

Anyway yesterday was all right.
