These past few months have been crazy! I am so happy to be accepted into the University of Houston College of Optometry Class of 2021!! I am truly blessed with this new journey and thankful for the help and support from my friends and family! #FutureOD #UHCO2021
First Blog Post!
Hey guys! YourPrettyOD here!
So i'm about to start Optometry School fall 2016 at the best school ever! I'm so excited, like, seriously, can't wait to post all my optometry school adventures and share them with you guys. All these great things are happening in my life and i wanted to give back. I remember how hard and stressful applying to schools was. I thought about how i didn't really have anyone to give me any good solid advice during my application cycle. I didn't have anyone to tell me what and what not to do. I had no idea what to expect on interview day. I did however speak to a lot of admissions people, and asked hundreds of questions. I'm basically an untouched bundle of knowledge. I want to help Pre-Optometry students get into optometry school. I think its worthwhile to have someone share their personal experiences. I think one, it helps motivate. And two, it helps you learn from their mistakes. So i thought, why not me? I made tons of mistakes! Or a least, there are a lot of things i know now that i didn't know then, that i wish i'd known...ya feel me?
A couple of things before i sign off:
I'm also starting a Youtube Channel to go along with this. I'll embed the video on here so you all can go watch it. My first vid goes up July 1. And i'm so excited to share it! It'll surface around the same theme as this blog. A lot of me answering your questions, tips on how to be a better applicant, and sharing my optometry school experiences.
