Week 15 (27th Apr - 4th May) - Prepare for the future! ✨🗓🕰

Hello! This week has been a busy one for sure. I have been bug fixing and adding more content such as puzzles and AI types! I also managed to release an updated alpha build (Alpha 1.1) to my peers! The build launch was special because this is what I originally interned the alpha to be. I am yet to find any game breaking bugs (touch wood) and I remain in a good position to add more content, along with polishing the game. 

Furthermore, this has been a big week for me as I was officially made a Steamworks partner! I now need to edit the store page and upload a build for review 🎉🎊. I want to note that The Forsaken Ruins, will hopefully release as an Early Access title as I have pledged myself to this game even after university finishes!

Like always, any feedback is great to hear and I can’t wait to publish what I have been working on over the 4+ months. Shout out to @samuel-peter-wilson​ for walking me through the process of setting up a Steam page and for the inspiration of this very blog post!

In the coming weeks I have plans to show off my sound design once more, along with showcasing puzzles and AI behaviour. I don’t want to spoil too much, however I will show you the setup for a few!

i’m really craving that campus-life, academia aesthetic right about now.

i haven’t been in school for almost 2 years, and i really miss going somewhere to learn about cool things and to meet new people. i keep hearing about all the not-so-great things about life as a university student, and i also went to college for a semester and HATED it. maybe this was because i was studying something i wasn’t too interested in, and because i suffered/still suffer from crippling anxiety?? idk. but i’ve always wanted to know if anyone out there has actually had GOOD experiences. im sure there are some people out there, but i just want to know if anyone has had the sort of awesome clichè experiences where you meet your bestest friends, grab coffee with them before and after class to do homework and chat about life/future goals, meet like-minded people who you enjoy speaking with because you guys have so much in common, meeting your soulmate who eventually buys you a coffee every day before class, and where almost all the classes you’re taking are genuinely enjoyable and you feel super uplifted and productive when you’re completing your homework? like, seriously. if you guys have some awesome/cute stories like these please reblog and share them!! i want to feel excited about eventually going back to uni and truly finding out what i have been missing all this time! i don’t want to dread the feeling of going back to school anymore, or be held back by my anxiety. i just want to have something to look forward to... even if in the end i might have just been expecting too much.
