The biggest change in my Ji Swap AU is that the solarians never actually left Penglai.
Instead of one big disaster happening on accident, it would multiple smaller but equally destructive events staged intentionally (I’ll reveal the culprit later dw). A smaller Tianhuo outbreak, a Jie nationalist uprising, a worse famine in Yumin etc.
The council would end up trying to maintain order in world on the brink of societal collapse, so they'd never have time to build a flying island and start harvesting Apemen.
However, Peach Blossom Village is still part of the story.
Shennong, the shaman, and the other villagers are Solarian citizens who live in the wastelands between provinces.
