How do you think Nuwa and Goumang get along Think the dynamic between the two are interesting, especially with how they contrast each other in both background and personality One's a farmer and the other an aristocrat One's very independent who wants control while the other is very dependent and disorganized

*I answered this in the context of shuffled sols btw but this dynamic also applies to canon timeline*

They definitely have a hard time getting along at first. Goumang is mean to Nuwa because

1. She hates that the “useless” one isn’t the one that stayed behind

2. Nuwa’s IMMENSE privilege, having never known a day of hardship before

3. Nuwa’s “pathetic” clinging to the ghost of her brother.

Goumang tries to micromanage everything Nuwa does, because frankly, Nuwa needs it. That control doesn’t let up for way too long, though. Nuwa starts learning independence, but she can’t do that with Goumang effectively acting like Fuxi 2.0: Mean Edition (telling her what to do, but in a way that accuses her of not doing enough, rather than doing too much when she’s doing the bare minimum)

Eventually, though, they get along better as they talk to each other more. Goumang realizes that Nuwa is trying, and that privilege is a double edged sword. Nuwa’s eyes were deliberately turned away from the plight of the people, and I want to dissect that.

Nuwa also realizes that Goumang isn’t just mean for the sake of being mean. She begins to understand that her privilege detaches her from the rest of the world. She also starts recognizing that Fuxi, as smart as he was, also played a part in that wealth gap staying the way it is.

Basically, rich girl deconstructs her privilege, and goumang relaxes her attitude towards Nuwa, who’s literally just trying her best.

A comment on my Nuwa x Goumang post said “Nuwang” means “Queen” in Mandarin.

Given Goumang’s obsession with control and Nuwa’s noble status, that makes it a perfect ship name.

Also because I think Goumang would call Nuwa “princess”, first as a thinly veiled insult and later as a term of endearment.

I like nuwang, it’s cute! I’m more inclined toward names that use characters from both names (eg Nu Mang, since Wang is a different character entirely) but I can get behind it
