Hello! How are you?
Honestly? Been better. I’m struggling creatively as well. Lots of self-doubt. Writer’s block. So . . . yep . . . It’s been a bit rough. But thank you for asking. I’m trying to do my best.

Kon is Issei's shoulder buddy? Yay! :)
yes!! and they look adorable together :’)
Lfl are generating so much salt they'd be more successful at the salting business during winter. Btw, which salt are you, sodium chloride, sodium phosphate, some other chemical name for a salt? :p
250 million year old pink Himalayan salt.
concept: number one is an in-universe song that isshin loves, he used to play it and jam air guitar while Ichigo was learning to walk. years later, it is played to give ichigo a reliable boost. he's embarrassed, but he can't protest too much given a) he likes it b) it works. consistently. his dad is smug that he created an 'awesome ichigo button' by complete accident!
Ichigo stood before the bathroom mirror and ran his left hand through his hair to get it just so when it dried—his style wasn’t completely effortless, and as much as he pretended he didn’t care, he really did. At the same time he mindlessly brushed his teeth with the right.
His morning routine was purely automatic and he didn’t think about it as he hummed and muttered “Now you feel like Number One / Shining bright for everyone / Living out your fantasy, the / Brightest star for all to see /” in English around the toothbrush.
Rukia’s face suddenly appeared in the reflection from one side, squinting at him.
He blinked and glanced her way before turning his head to look at her. She still had a towel around her torso and another over her hair. “What?”
She studied him suspiciously. “What was that song?”
“What song!?”
“The one you were just singing in that foreign language!”
“Huh? Oh. Nothing, just something I heard a lot as a kid.”
Rukia narrowed her eyes and drew much nearer, into his personal space, then turned to face the mirror and hip-checked him. “Move over, I have to brush my teeth too.”
Ichigo grumbled but shuffled over to make room for her.
She gave no tells as she spent the two minutes memorizing what she’d heard—she didn’t know what it meant, but she could reproduce it accurately enough that she could ask Isshin about it later.
how about a time canary fic, that takes place in an antique store, named 'Cuckoo Clock'
Ooo. Interesting.
I think I’d do this as a mission fic, set between season one and season two. There’s a very peculiar time aberration affecting a small historical village in Germany in 2425. Basically, the people live their lives normally, re-enacting some idyllic vision of 1800s village life for tourists. (They’ve got some hidden future tech stuff, lights, heat, medical facilities, and so on, just carefully disguised.)
But anyway, twice a day, there’s a chime or a flash, and the village CHANGES. Suddenly the people are different. Their speech is different. The clothes and houses are (subtly) different. And the higher tech vanishes.
Basically, the crew figures out that somehow, there is something that actually displaces the future-historical village with its past version. And they have to figure out what’s causing it, while protecting themselves from the effects.
Especially since, they’ve checked the timeline, and some undetermined disaster is meant to strike the 1800s village at a date very near in their future.
I like the thought that the crew gets split. Some of the crew (maybe Sara, Ray, and Martin) end up as part of the 1800s set. While the rest are in sync with the future village. There are probably cute children and folks to flirt with. And maybe a literal clock.
So the crew ends up having to figure out what’s causing this. Now, since it’s the most comic book of all comic book shows, the cause is something like a magic cuckoo clock created by an evil wizard, who intends to send his minions to destroy and enslave the village. And it is solved by lots of blasting and kicking things in the face.
And of course there is a young couple, involving someone from each village somehow meeting and falling in love, complicating the entire situation. (Sara gets very attached to them.)
Finally, Rip and Martin, on opposite sides of the time thingy, manage some tech wizardry that pulls BOTH villages into the future.
Thus the “disaster” is kept in tact, but instead of the village being destroyed, it just disappeared. Close enough for Rip’s taste.
It’s possible a literal cuckoo clock will be involved somewhere which Rip will swipe because he’s a klepto magpie.
The actual story will be gen, with Time Canary hintings, but there will be an epilogue which will take place more recently (post brainwashing/recovery, assuming it’s canon feasible), where Rip ends up giving Sara the clock and it gets more explicitly romantic.
Give me a title and I will tell you what I would write for it.
(Edited: I just realized I glitched and forgot to put the antique store IN. Embarrassing! I had meant to include that there would be an antique store in the future version of the village - corresponding to a general store in the past, and that would somehow be involved with communicating and solving the aberration! OOPS!)
Just throwing out an alternative to SKB, seeing as the whole focus is supposed to be on finding Luke, we keep that focus as well for the evil space device, by having it be a galactic tracker that can lock on to his force signature wherever he is, so even if the heroes get the map to find him, Luke won't be safe until the machine is destroyed, which means they have to delay going to him and it just flows better than random superweapon, I guess?
That could have been interesting, but I suspect they needed a superweapon to severely weaken the New Republic and reset the in-universe balance of power. Still, almost anything other than “bigger Death Star that shoots FIVE beams this time” would have been an improvement. It could have been a weapon that made the star at the center of the Hosnian System go supernova, which would have served the narrative purpose of wiping out the power base of the New Republic and could have still been named “Starkiller” as an Easter Egg.
Issei for the ichiruki kid! it follows the naming pattern of his father and grandfather, means one star and i think you may have referred to him as a star in one of your comics, and yeah! :)
Oooh!! I did call him their little star in one of my drawings so it makes sense!! Would the kanji be like this 一星? I like it (´v`*)
