Oh, I think he is - he says as much to Will. But he also tells Will in the same conversation that Will hurt him, which I think is also true? He wants will literallydark, but ideally not turned against him, I think?

Beautifully put. Recognizing & cutting through depression's attempts at self-perpetuation is so hard & it means so much to hear that other people are going through it & have solutions. Thank you so much for sharing, you are an inspiration :)

You are very, very kind. I am on a mission to make mental illness more visible and less shameful. The real inspirations are my two oldest kids, who are very open and transparent about their illnesses. They’ve taught me a lot.

I love my BIL dearly. He’s never allowed to watch anything with me that I love.

Actually, though, by the end he was totally shipping it. Like, he’s all “Well, I mean, it’s right there, like, they acknowledged it.” And he even had an involuntary vocal reaction to something in an earlier episode, which for him is, like, almost unheard of. Although, seriously, he would NOT shut up during important (WilltalkingtoBedeliathatonetime) scenes. And his breakdown of all the handicapped stuff (”why don’t they ever cast a blind person as a blind person?” “why do they always let the handicapped person live” [answer: “because black characters and women characters always have to die, shut up”], “well, now no one is ever going to help the handicapped. It was bad enough after Silence of the Lambs - what if I needed to move a sofa?”, “points for using the word ‘cripple’,” “ah, the flaming wheelchair,” “the wheelchair wouldn’t have tipped over like that,” etc. You get the idea) was... persistent. But from about the time they met up in the museum, he was all, aw, married murder puppies in love. Not in so many words.

No, because my idiot children were also up at 5:45 am, slamming my bedroom door shut, and they’re coming close to staying at Grammy’s until school starts. Although Grammy would probably drive them back here at some point before then. But seriously. >:(
