So my friend Rex has this comedy rock band, Frogs With A Vengeance, with his brother Jacob. They’re still a pretty small band, not many people know about them. So I decided, why not give them a little shout out on my tumblr. I don’t have too many followers, but anything helps. So I’m about to give them some PR. Their debut album is called, In A Rush which is $5 on their Band Camp. After In A Rush came out, they decided “lets do a live album!” so they grabbed their mic, and went on their porch in the middle of fall. They call this one, Live! From Our House. This one is just one dollar. For the holidays, they decided to make an EP. It is *hilarious*. This one’s called, Shut Up and Open Your Gifts. This one is just one dollar as well.
In addition to this, Rex has some serious stuff. I personally listen to his solo stuff all the time. You can listen to it while doing homework, or while your falling asleep. His stuff calms me down a lot of the time. Anyways, Rex makes solo music, and its mainly instrumental. However, he has just started putting vocals into his (unreleased) songs! Rex also has his personal stuff up on Band Camp. Rex’s first EP is called Bexhill and this EP has some of his best work, in my opinion. Bexhill is up for one dollar. A few months later, he released his mini-LP, Doll. Doll has the first song I ever heard of Rex’s, “Flowers and Stuff”, and to this day, this is one of my favorite songs. Doll is up for one dollar as well! This is probably my favorite of Rex’s work. In January, Rex released his first full length album of solo work. He worked on this for months and months. It’s called Odd Answers To Odder Questions. Odd Answers is 41 minutes long, and it costs $5. Just a few days ago, Rex released his EP, We Were Only Playing. This album has a photo on the cover that I took:) This EP has the last of his post-rock/ambient work for a while. He is going back to acoustic for his next album.
Thank you so much if you read this all. Also, if you can’t afford to buy any, you can still listen to them on band camp, or on youtube at Frogs With A Vengeance and Rex Thurstan.
TLDR: Support my friends music? Take a listen!

So this is the link to their album, In A Rush, on their band camp, where they have their albums FOR FREE, unless you choose to donate to them, which is not necessary, but greatly appreciated.

PLLEK's Films with a View Christmas Special is happening soon which means the most wonderful time of the year is here! We, at We Want Cinema are very excited. There is nothing better to experience holiday cheer than to see a movie! Wait...how about seeing a movie and an awesome short?!
The pre-movie treat for you this year will be Mr.Christmas, a short documentary directed by Nick Palmer. We get to know Bruce, who for 30+ years has been decorating his house for Christmas becoming a tourist attraction for young and old. Every year, he starts decorating his house in August and finishes right in time for Thanksgiving, when the holiday season starts. Nick, the director, grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, visiting Mr. Christmas' house every year as a kid, so this film was a real labor of love. It went on to screen at several dozen festivals around the world, winning the Audience Award at Palm Springs Shortfest, a Jury Award at Aspen Shortfest and Best Short Documentary at Rhode Island International Film Festival and Cleveland International Film Festival. This year, sadly will be the last time Mr.Christmas will decorate his house. He is quite old now and climbing on the roof is not such a good idea anymore. So come and celebrate Christmas with us and let Mr.Christmas brighten up your day!
