Tim Burton has alluded that he modeled Edward Scissorhands off The Cure's Robert Smith.Â
Tim Burton had asked Robert Smith of The Cure to do the soundtrack (of Edward Scissorhands) and had even sent the script. Robert was busy recording 'Disintegration' at the time, and didn't know who Burton was, so passed up the opportunity, handing Danny Elfman the job. moktaarrr !

(A friendly spoof of the band The Cure and La Zoubida.)
Note by Sicktracks: Friendly why? Because Les Inconnus always laughed "with" people (i.e. in spirit) in a good-natured way, and never at people in a mean way! And that's one of the reasons they are so popular and loved by the French.
ZOU...ZOU...ZOUBIDA.
LE LAVABO... IL EST BEAU.
ZOU...ZOU...ZOUBIDA.
Oh, LE BIDET... IL EST LAID
THE SINK... IT'S BEAUTIFUL.
Oh, THE BIDET... IT'S UGLY.

"La Zoubida" is a novelty song by French TV presenter and humorist Lagaf'. In May 1991, it was released as the second single from his album Le Lavabo.
In a humorous style, "La Zoubida" tells the story of a young North African girl called Zoubida, who lives in BarbÚs, whose parents have forbidden her to go dancing. The girl is saved by her friend Moktar, but, as he is a robber of "golden" scooters, the two end the night at the police station.
The song was parodied by Les Inconnus.
In the video, Didier Bourdon performs the song in the bed of Lullaby clip, on the music of "Close to Me" by the Cure.
