OK SO YEAH THIS PERSON TOOK A PICTURE OF A WEIRD AS HELL WHITE TIGER WITH VERY DENSE STRIPES, NO BIG DEAL.
THIS is why I run my other blog. How is this GORGEOUS creature not be known? I'm cheating and not even done with my big ol' serious tiger post, but this could not wait. I just can't. My heart LEAPED when I was casually googling this, and was worried it was just a trick of the light. Nope. Look how DENSE it is on it's back? NEARLY GODDAMNED SOLID. You would think I'd have heard about this since tigers are pretty popular megafauna. Ah, animals :'D. I'm so happy when species like these can actually surprise me. Images found here.
(Also, I am so excited about this but my brother told me he didn't care, AGH ANDREA ACTUALLY SHOWING HOW PASSIONATE SHE CAN BE ABOUT STUFF BUT WHY ISN'T HE AMAZED TOO, THIS IS WHY I DON'T DO THIS OFTEN.)
FOLLOWER APPRECIATION
I thought of an idea as a treat for you guys being so awesome, and sharing my animal fangirl feelings. I would like you to choose the blog's new mascots! I do try to keep this blog a bit more serious then my personal, but I just can't resist the idea of having a couple of mascots to make art of. Where do you come in? I would like you to go through the pages, choose one or two animals (it could be two morphs of the same species, or two different species) you really like, and place or reblog your vote here! You do not have to follow fyanimaldiversity in order to place a vote. The winner and runner up will be included in the banner or sidebar, and in any text posts and updates. To give everyone a fair chance, voting ends in a week on Sunday the 27th. Happy searching! Edit: Please suggest specific animals I have posted pictures of, like "that leucistic civet" or "the Kodiac bear". Sorry for any confusion!

Here is a blog I run, if you didn't know! I take request of species to cover if the species displays enough variation/mutations between individuals. I also accept submissions, but for sake of consistency, follow the style of my posts. I kind of like Zoe's tag, that "nature is better at character design than you". Maybe artists interested in designing characters could benefit from seeing the natural variations within a species? Before I looked into them, I really didn't think brown bears were a highly varied species. I was wrong. Now, if I was told to design a brown bear, I wouldn't have to immediately sparkle it out to make it unique (not that there isn't anything wrong with a well designed sparkle animal!).
