I am in love with the idea of greggur shrinking himself just to be at a more comfortable height when interacting with his boyfriend. I imagine that he knows he could just feed his boyfriend the shrooms and carry him instead but much prefers being a shoulder to lean on

it was a fun idea that popped out of my foolish mistake to share the canon height difference with the artist lmao. Sans horns, Fydes is about a foot and a half shorter than Greggurr, but not because Fydes is small, but because bugbears are So Damn Big. Eight feet tall! EIGHT FEET. The canon size diff between them is part of the appeal but seeing that art made me think a.) there needs to be a reason they're similar in height for this pic and b.) there needs to be a reason why one or both of them would want to be similar in height. So why not make it sweet and gay and fantasy, aka my brand.
